"Are you really going to make me stand here like this?"

After standing beside the stone monument for half an hour, Jon finally could not help asking.

"Why not just tell me what you've prepared? At least let me brace myself."

Helga rubbed the bridge of her nose. Her form flickered as she flashed from the platform to Jon's side, then pressed one hand against the stone monument.

The next moment, the monument burst into boundless, dazzling light.

A line of words also appeared on the back of the monument. Jon gave it a quick glance and saw that it read:

"Born to shine, I'm sorry!"

Jon: "..."

Had his great-great-grandmother been poisoned by something?

"Actually, this monument is used to test soul vitality. It can determine your magical affinity this way, but it apparently doesn't work on you."

Of course it would not work. Most of his soul was outside with his body. The monument before him was entirely a soul construct; if it could detect anything, that would be the problem.

Maybe Voldemort could try it now.

"So today's test can't really be done, then?"

"There should still be a few items we can test. Let me see..." With a wave of her hand, Helga pulled a stack of parchment from thin air. "Remove everything related to spellcasting... Your Magical Theory does not seem very good either, so remove that too..."

Jon watched as the stack of parchment in Helga's hands dwindled until only a few sheets remained.

"Mm, these will do nicely. As for the other items, I'll think of something later."

Helga smiled and handed him the parchment, her expression full of anticipation.

Jon took the parchments. They were covered in dense lettering. He had only read the beginning when he passed out.
