"Jörmungandr... was that mythical creature actually a real living being?"

Jon had never expected to receive such explosive news.

"But if it really existed, why was none of it recorded?"

The moment the question left his mouth, Jon realized how foolish it was.

How could such things possibly have been recorded?

"Whether mythical life truly existed, no one knows. But through countless years of experimentation, wizards did develop many magical items with the traits of mythical creatures. For example, the Jörmungandr you saw; the Behemoth that borrowed the blood of giants; vampires and werewolves created by certain magical potions; and the Papacy's War Angels. These 'magical items' that were created all possessed, to varying degrees, the characteristics of mythical life. Some of them even eventually became part of the Wizarding world.

"As for your second question, my answer is that of course such things would not be recorded. You have probably already noticed that many forms of magic have actively or passively vanished with the passage of time. After mysticism became a failure and outdated, humans who began developing science gradually gained the upper hand in the world. You understand that better than I do."

Helga spoke as though she were discussing some trivial matter:

"Because they were symbols of failure, the records within the Papacy were destroyed long ago;

"The records of the magical world were completely erased by the Legendary Wizards of that time using Legendary Magic.

"All of this happened because we, who possessed great power, became the weaker side. Unlike the Papacy, they at least still had believers in the world. We held no advantage on either side and could only hide ourselves away."

They had not vanished of their own accord; they had been forced into hiding... Helga had lived so long for a reason.
