A Beautiful Day

After Jon left Hogwarts, whatever happened within the school had little to do with him. Things had been much the same even when he was at school, but now that he had left, he felt far more relaxed. After all, he had been gone for too long, and reintegrating into school life had not been easy. He had tried, but he simply could not fit back in.

But things were fine now. Stephen had taken over all the work Jon had originally done at school, and he was even doing it a little better than Jon had. With such a capable helper, Jon could devote himself wholeheartedly to his own affairs. Many times, Jon wondered what kind of damned luck had let him find so many excellent assistants. But musing over good fortune was just as pointless as lamenting the unpredictability of fate.

Still, he did not have much time now to indulge in such pointless thoughts. Rather than let his mind wander, he might as well do something proper on such a beautiful morning.
