"You don't need to worry about that. I can protect you. To put it plainly, wielding the power of the soul is also a form of magic, and I'm very good at it."
Although he could not seize control within someone else's consciousness space, he could still protect himself.
With Jon's assurance, Laura naturally relaxed and began carefully studying the environment they were currently in.
This environmental space could be described as fairly intricate in a single sentence, but that intricacy could not withstand close scrutiny. With the slightest movement, its delicate balance would be broken. More importantly, the person controlling this space seemed not to be the same person who had controlled the previous one. The styles of the two spaces differed greatly.
Laura was not the only one to notice this. Jon had clearly noticed it as well.
"Can one consciousness space have two controllers?"
"In theory, it shouldn't be possible." Laura shook her head. "But anything is possible in the magical world, so I can't say for sure."
If she could not say for sure, then it was possible.

"If you refuse to relinquish control of your consciousness space, then another person's consciousness has no way to take control.
"And this kind of conscious control often implies an exchange.
"You give away control of your consciousness space, and the person who accepts it naturally bears the corresponding cost.
"In other words, your two consciousness spaces become integrated for a short period of time. That is perfectly normal. The exchange of spatial consciousness brought about by this integration can strengthen trust
