Jon had been gone for some time.
Other than Dumbledore and Grindelwald, no one knew where he had gone. Even Grindelwald did not know much; he only knew that Jon had taken Laura with him. As for what exactly they were doing, he only knew that it was related to Dumbledore.
Recently, Dumbledore had become increasingly mysterious, as though he were preparing something. He was even unwilling to tell Grindelwald about it.
However, Grindelwald had never stopped Dumbledore from doing whatever he wanted. After all, nothing Dumbledore did would put him in danger.
Grindelwald had already made every preparation for Dumbledore's rebirth from the ashes. Even if Dumbledore deliberately got himself killed now, it would not be a problem. The moment something happened to Dumbledore, Grindelwald would immediately go to his side and take away his soul.
Then Dumbledore would come back from the dead. To be honest, Grindelwald was even looking forward to that happening.
Still, looking forward to it was one thing; he could not deliberately make it happen.
But Jon really had been gone for far too long.
There was one thing Jon had not been wrong about: time did indeed pass differently in the consciousness space than it did outside. He had merely misjudged the extent of that difference. And when he spent most of his time inside other people's consciousness spaces, his own perception of external time also became distorted.
Fortunately, a wizard's body would not suffer any harm merely from going without energy for a while.
But many things had happened while he was gone.
Dumbledore had left the school and gone into hiding. Without any instructions from Jon, Hermione had no choice but to prepare certain things herself. Most importantly, Hogwarts was not in very good shape now. If Filch had not been
