The assistant the American dark Wizard Association had sent to Jon was named Derek. He was one of the Prophet's newly cultivated people. After all, so many of their operatives had previously fallen at Jon's hands. This newly assigned man was not particularly powerful, but his personality was far more meticulous.
Whether intentionally or not, sending this man likely also meant to assess Jon's strength. After all, although the Prophet controlled the dark Wizard Association, he was not the only voice within it.
He needed to answer for the entire dark Wizard Association. Even if they were looking for a master, they had to choose the strongest one.
Though no one had said such reasoning aloud, Jon could understand it.
So he had tacitly allowed Derek's presence, even putting on a magnificent display of the storm within Derek's sight.

And next, there was naturally something Derek needed to witness as well.
So, under Jon's arrangements, he took the money to the designated port and did everything Jon had instructed him to do.
But now... Derek nervously glanced at his watch... the time displayed on it was nearly their agreed time. He did not think Jon was the sort to be late, but for the sake of the mission, he had to wait here.
Jon was capable of raising this violent storm, so naturally he could suppress it as well. But no matter what, they still needed this tempest at the moment
