Hermione had finally squeezed her way up to a large display case beside the counter and was reading the instructions on the back of a box.
The box bore a brightly colored picture of a handsome young man and an utterly besotted girl standing together on the deck of a pirate ship.

"This thing, Hermione," said a voice behind them, "you can have one for free."
Fred stood before them, beaming. He was wearing a magenta robe that clashed horribly with his fiery red hair, making him impossible to miss.
"How are you, Harry?"
They shook hands. "Hermione, what happened to your eyes?"
"It's all because of your Punching Binoculars," Hermione said irritably.
"Oh, my God, I'd completely forgotten about those," Fred said. "Here—"
He pulled a small plastic bottle from his pocket and handed it to Hermione. She carefully unscrewed the cap and found a thick yellow paste inside.
"Put it on, and the bruising will be gone within an hour."
"We had to find an effective Bruise-Removing Cream," Fred said. "Most of our products are tested on ourselves."
Hermione looked a little concerned. "Is it safe?"
"Of course it is," Fred reassured her. "Harry, come on. I'll show you around."
While Hermione applied the cream to her black eyes, Harry followed Fred toward the back of the shop. There, he saw a stall displaying card tricks and rope tricks.
