One-on-One Lessons

Jon was helpless.

He had no idea why Professor Trelawney, drunk tonight, had suddenly sought him out. His Disillusionment Charm seemed to have no effect at all on this professor whose Inner Eye had been opened.

He had even spotted Harry Potter on his way to find Hermione and had several times considered redirecting the disaster toward him, but in the end, he did not.

The most recent time had been by the statue.

Fortunately, by the time he reached the foot of Gryffindor Tower, he had finally shaken the professor off. Having no one incessantly performing card divinations in his ear was truly a delightful thing.

He used magic to tug at Hermione's notebook, and before long, Hermione came running downstairs.

"Professor."

She looked out of breath. "Why did you suddenly come looking for me? Didn't we finish today's lesson early?"

"Something came up. I need to take you out for a while."

"Out?"

Hermione looked very hesitant. After all, it was not a good thing for a student to suddenly leave the school. If they were discovered...

"Don't worry. I brought this."

Jon took a crude Time-Turner from his ring. It was one of the batch originally stored in the Department of Mysteries, taken out before Harry Potter and the others blew the place up—having a mother who worked there was just that convenient.

Jon turned the Time-Turner, then waved it over Hermione's head. Another Hermione suddenly appeared beside her and headed back upstairs.

"All right, there won't be any problems now. Let's go."

Hermione looked at the Time-Turner, seeming to want to say something but holding back.

"Professor, weren't all the Time-Turners destroyed at the Ministry of Magic?"
