"Because he doesn't mind," Peeves said nonchalantly. "Besides, you're not a spirit, so you can't understand this feeling. You have no idea how comfortable it is for me to sit on his shoulder like this. It feels just like sitting on the roof of Hogwarts."
The three of them waited there for a while before Filch finally arrived after his night patrol.

"Most importantly, after that most important matter is finished, I may very well no longer be here. So you'll be responsible for repairing this gap.
