Moves and Skills, Primal Power and Dragon Dance!

Having already left Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy, Lin Xia naturally had no idea he had avoided an act of revenge.

At this moment, Lin Xia still felt somewhat regretful. After all, he was quite tempted by Xiao Wu's Soul Rings and Spirit Bones.

But once he thought of Tang Hao guarding her from the shadows, that thought immediately vanished.

"Larvitar, how are you feeling today?"

Larvitar let out a "Yoji~," hopped happily, and patted its round belly. It was clearly in excellent condition.

"Very good!"

Lin Xia smiled, broke the Mineral Ore in half, gnawed on one half himself, and tossed the other to Larvitar.

The crisp crunching of one man and one Pokemon chewing through the hard, brittle Mineral Ore formed a unique rhythm amidst the desolate mountains.

"After eating so many good things for so long, your body should have stored up plenty of strength, right? You've passed the earliest infant stage now. Your strength may still be low, but having more ways to protect yourself can't hurt."

"Come on, tell me—or rather... show me. Have you awakened any special abilities?"

Larvitar tilted its little head topped with a Blunt Horn, its red eyes blinking as though it were seriously trying to understand Lin Xia's words while silently sensing the energy flowing through its body.

A few seconds later, it seemed to think of something and suddenly took a stance, stretching its short arms forward and lowering its center of gravity.

"Yoji!"

Lin Xia immediately sat up straight and watched with rapt attention.

A faint glow appeared over Larvitar's body as it suddenly lunged forward, targeting a knee-high boulder.

With a Muffled Sound, the boulder shook. Larvitar stood firmly in place, apparently not having used its Full Power.

Lin Xia nodded inwardly. Just as he had thought, Pokemon moves and skills were not limited by the slots for Soul Skills. These were things they could comprehend on their own!

But it was not over yet. Larvitar raised its head, its ruby-like eyes suddenly widening as a fierce, intimidating glare locked onto the rustling within a nearby bush.

Leer! The rustling stopped instantly. The small animal inside had clearly been frightened away.

This counted as standard stuff... Lin Xia nodded slightly, unsurprised.

Rock Throw, Bite, Payback!

As Larvitar used move after move, Lin Xia grew increasingly satisfied. Larvitar was still young, so being able to use this many moves was already impressive. Just as Lin Xia was about to offer some praise—

However, Larvitar's next action instantly froze the smile on Lin Xia's face. His eyes widened as if he had witnessed something unimaginable!

Buzz!

Larvitar let out a low roar, and an ancient, profound dark-red radiance suddenly lit up across the surface of its gray-green body!

The light carried a heavy, primitive aura, as though it had risen from the deepest reaches of the earth and the ancient ages of the wilderness.

The scattered stones and grains of sand within several feet of it seemed drawn by an invisible force. They first floated into the air, then began spinning wildly around it!

Then, the light abruptly contracted, condensed, and gathered around Larvitar's short forearms and the Blunt Horn atop its head!

As though it had accumulated boundless strength, it suddenly swung its little forearm covered in Rock Carapace at a massive boulder half a man tall before it!

"Roar!!!"

Accompanied by a roar far louder than usual, a torrent formed entirely of sharp stone fragments wrapped in dark-red energy burst forth!

Boom!!!

Primal Power!!!

The instant the massive half-man-high boulder came into contact with the red light, it was as though an ancient giant hammer had struck it. Spider Web-like cracks exploded across its surface, while its center was blasted apart into countless small stones!

Dust and dark-red energy fragments scattered in every direction, and even the ground trembled slightly!

Lin Xia sucked in a breath, his heart pounding wildly.

"Hiss...! Primal Power?!"

Before Lin Xia could fully recover from the shock Primal Power had brought him, an even more world-shattering scene unfolded!

After shattering the boulder, the red light had yet to fully fade, yet Larvitar did not stop.

Seemingly carried along by the rhythm of battle, Larvitar's formerly somewhat clumsy steps suddenly took on a peculiar sense of rhythm!

Its gaze became focused and sharp.

Its short legs bent slightly as its body began to sway and spin with indescribable coordination, its Small Claws tracing mysterious paths through the air!

It was not the fixed dance steps from the Pokemon games, but a unique dance better suited to its own form, filled with wild strength!

With its movements, the dark-red Primal Power fragments lingering in the air seemed to answer an invisible summons. They converged one after another and spun rapidly around Larvitar's body, forming a dark-red energy vortex!

With every turn and motion of the dance, the vortex contracted inward and condensed further. When Larvitar completed a full rotation, suddenly steadied itself, raised its head, and puffed out its chest—whoosh!

The condensed dark-red energy vortex seemed to be completely absorbed into its body!

In that instant, Larvitar's entire body erupted with dazzling red light from the inside out!

The Blunt Horn atop its head and the red scales on its belly shone as brilliantly as rubies!

A powerful, wild aura suddenly spread outward!

"Roar—!!"

An even more resounding roar bursting with power erupted, its imposing presence more than doubling compared to before!

Lin Xia was utterly dumbfounded. His mouth hung slightly open, and he did not even notice the half piece of Mineral Ore in his hand drop to the ground with a clatter. Only one name crazily echoed through his mind.

"Dragon Dance?!!"

That dark-red energy vortex, the way it drew power through dancing, the sensation of ultimately lighting up its entire body and enhancing every aspect of its condition... this was definitely Dragon Dance!

Although its form differed from the elegant Pokemon dance steps in his memories, carrying instead the primitive ruggedness of a rock-type Martial Soul, its core effect—gathering energy through dance and strengthening oneself across the board—was almost exactly the same!

Watching Larvitar after the light faded, panting slightly yet with sharper eyes and a clearly stronger aura, as if some of the power hidden within its body had been ignited, Lin Xia's heart continued to pound fiercely.

Larvitar looked at Lin Xia's animated expression and seemed somewhat confused as it tilted its head.

"Yoji?" (What's wrong? Was that dance not pretty? Was it not powerful enough?)

Looking at Larvitar's innocent appearance, then thinking of the rock-destroying Primal Power and the explosive Dragon Dance from moments ago, Lin Xia suddenly could not help but burst into laughter.
