The South Heaven Gate opened, and golden light shone in ten thousand rays.
Following Tai Bai Jin Xing, Sun Wukong strode confidently into the Heavenly Court. His Chain-Link Golden Armor gleamed brilliantly, and the As-You-Wish Golden-Banded Staff was tucked at his waist. He could not have been prouder.
"Great Sage, this way, please."
With a beaming smile, Tai Bai Jin Xing led Sun Wukong through layer upon layer of immortal palaces until they arrived before a towering residence.
The residence was resplendent in gold and jade. Two sky-supporting jade pillars stood before its gates, carved with dragons and phoenixes in auspicious harmony, while a gilded plaque hung above the entrance.
It bore the words "Great Sage Equal to Heaven Residence"!
"Within are the Tranquility Office and the Spirit-Calming Office. Immortal Clerks, Vajra Warriors, and immortal maidens are all provided for the Great Sage's use. His Majesty's favor toward you is truly profound!"
Tai Bai Jin Xing introduced it with a chuckle.
Sun Wukong looked up and saw that the residence was exceptionally grand, countless times more luxurious than the Water Curtain Cave on Flower Fruit Mountain. Joy immediately blossomed in his heart.
"Hahaha! Good! Good! Good!"
Pointing at the plaque, Sun Wukong said smugly, "Old Star, that Heavenly Emperor really is sincere this time!
This Great Sage Equal to Heaven Residence is far grander than that shabby Imperial Horse Office!"
Stroking his beard, Tai Bai Jin Xing smiled. "So long as the Great Sage is satisfied! His Majesty has said that the Great Sage is a sacred being nurtured by Heaven and Earth, divine by birth. To bestow upon you the title of Great Sage Equal to Heaven is wholly deserved."
Sun Wukong felt thoroughly pleased. He puffed out his chest, strode confidently forward, and entered the residence.
