That hand, which appeared fair and slender, felt like a red-hot iron clamp, rendering him immobile.
"Your blade... is too slow."
Lin Xuan said softly, while his other hand, fingers joined like a sword, slowly yet irresistibly, pointed towards Bolton's forehead.
Bolton's eyes were filled with endless fear and unwillingness. He watched as that finger enlarged in his pupils, unable to even blink.
"Pfft."
A soft sound, like a ripe watermelon being pierced.
Lin Xuan's fingertip sank into Bolton's forehead, and a spiraling force of interwoven Yin Yang Qi erupted within his skull.
Bolton's expression froze instantly. The light in his eyes rapidly dissipated like a receding tide, leaving only a dead, ashen gray.
His tall body swayed twice before crashing backward, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Bolton, the terrifying general of the grasslands, commander of three thousand Wolf Riders, was dead!
Lin Xuan slowly withdrew his finger, flicking off the crimson and white matter clinging to it. He bent down, picked up the golden scimitar that symbolized supreme power, and then, channeling all his inner strength, let out a world-shattering roar:
"Bolton is dead! Surrender and live!"
This roar, like rumbling thunder from the heavens, clearly reached the ears of everyone in the valley!
All the Mongol Wolf Riders engaged in battle froze instantly.
They instinctively turned to look at the golden encampment, only to see the black wolf banner, representing their faith and glory, lying on the ground, beside a green-robed figure holding a golden scimitar, appearing like a god or a demon.
Their commander was dead! The battle standard had fallen!
This realization struck them like the heaviest hammer, shattering their last line of defense. The fighting spirit that fueled their fearless charge collapsed completely at this moment!
"The general is dead!"
"Run!"
Someone, who knew not who, first let out a cry of despair, and then panic spread like a plague throughout the entire Wolf Rider formation.
All the Wolf Riders lost their will to fight. With hoots of alarm, they turned their horses and fled desperately back the way they came, towards the valley entrance.
However, awaiting them were the ambushing forces of various sects, who had been waiting in full battle array, ready for the most ruthless slaughter.
This battle, centered around a surprise force of a hundred from the Central Plains martial arts world, utterly crushed three thousand elite Mongol Wolf Riders.
Over a thousand were slain, nearly a thousand captured, with only a few hundred remnants escaping back to the main camp.
A single victory, shaking the world!
And Lin Xuan, single-handedly, had planned the entire astonishing surprise attack. At the most critical moment, he personally led the charge, slaying the general and capturing the flag amidst ten thousand troops. The name "Little Zhuge" spread like wildfire across the land in an instant.
Chapter Forty-Four: Celebration Feast
Within Xiangyang City, Chang Le Tower was adorned with colorful lanterns, and joyous sounds filled the air.
A grand celebration feast was pushing the joy of victory to its climax.
Lin Xuan was undoubtedly the most dazzling figure at this banquet, like a bright moon, drawing everyone's gaze.
He sat at the head of the main table. Dressed in a brand-new moon-white brocade robe, he appeared even more handsome and distinguished, with an extraordinary bearing.
Facing wave after wave of martial arts heroes coming to toast and flatter him, he maintained a calm and composed smile, his demeanor humble and courteous, his responses appropriate. His unflappable composure caused many elder figures present to secretly admire him, thinking this young man was no ordinary person.
"Young Master Lin's wisdom rivals Zhuge's, and his courage surpasses that of Ba Wang. This battle's miraculous achievement leaves us all in awe!"
"If not for Young Master Lin's strategic planning, we would likely be piles of dry bones in Yan Hui Valley by now. We will never forget this great kindness!"
Praise poured in like a tide. Lin Xuan simply smiled, raising his cup to return each toast. In his words, he skillfully distributed the credit to all the heroes who participated, showcasing his magnanimity and winning hearts.
At a table further away from the banquet, Ning Zhongze, dressed in a simple and elegant skirt, possessed a cool demeanor, yet a hint of frailty and exhaustion could not be concealed in her brows. This touch of sickly beauty only added to her delicate and moving charm.
She barely touched the delicacies before her, her clear, watery eyes traversing the noisy crowd, never leaving that radiant figure for a moment.
Her gaze was exceedingly complex.
There was gratitude for surviving, for him having forcibly pulled her back from the abyss of death. That warm and domineering Pure Yang True Qi was the most reassuring power she had ever felt in her life.
There was heartfelt admiration for his flawless strategy and unfathomable martial arts. But more than that, there was a strange emotion that made her feel ashamed and flustered.
Whenever she lost focus for a moment, the disorienting scene of "healing" in the cave would uncontrollably resurface in her mind.
His hot, powerful palms roaming over every inch of her jade-like skin, the contradictory pleasure of pain and extreme bliss intertwined during his kneading; the imprint of his domineering and powerful aura filling her limbs; her complete surrender in his arms, naked and helpless, allowing him to do as he pleased...
All of this, like the sharpest knives, carved the name "Lin Xuan" into her bones and branded it onto the depths of her soul. Every time she thought of it, her heart would race, her cheeks would flush with intoxicating crimson, and even her breathing would become somewhat disordered.
She knew this was wrong. She was a married woman, a Huashan Jade Maiden. Yet, her body had truthfully remembered the taste of being utterly conquered.
She subconsciously glanced at her husband, Yue Buqun, beside her. He was flushed with excitement, conversing animatedly with Guo Jing and others, pleased with the Mount Hua Sect's "glorious" performance in this battle. He was completely oblivious to his wife's unusual state and knew nothing of what had transpired in the cave.
As if sensing her gaze, Lin Xuan, who was talking and laughing with someone, suddenly turned his head. His gaze met hers precisely.
His eyes were calm and placid, yet held a hint of knowing amusement, as if silently asking her.
"Lady Ning, are you satisfied with my treatment?"
Ning Zhongze's heart gave a violent tremor, as if struck by an electric current. She hastily lowered her eyelids, not daring to look again, her heart pounding like a startled deer, her cheeks burning intensely.
Meanwhile, Guo Fu, sitting beside her, felt as if she had tasted all flavors at once – a mixture of pride and strong insecurity.
She looked at Lin Xuan, surrounded by everyone, as if looking at a treasure that would soon be coveted by countless people, a treasure that belonged solely to her.
Especially when she saw the undisguised admiration in the eyes of the female disciples from various sects, and Ning Zhongze's unnatural shyness, her internal alarm bells blared, and a fierce possessiveness burned within her.
He is mine! Only mine!
The celebration banquet continued until late at night before gradually dispersing.
The guests, tipsy and satisfied, left in twos and threes. The bustling lobby of Chang Le Tower, which had been noisy all night, finally returned to silence.
Lin Xuan, citing the need for physical rest, chose to stay in a Heaven-grade room at Chang Le Tower.
Unexpectedly, after everyone had left, Guo Fu returned alone.
In the vast hall, only Lin Xuan and Guo Fu remained. The lingering aroma of food and wine mixed with a faint, elusive fragrance belonging to a young girl.
The lust that Lin Xuan had felt a few days ago, ignited by Ning Zhongze's mature and voluptuous body, had not only failed to extinguish but, catalyzed by the alcohol, surged like magma from the earth's core.
He needed an outlet, a channel for complete release.
And this beautiful woman before him, as alluring as fire and deeply in love with him, was undoubtedly the best choice.
Guo Fu stood in place, appearing somewhat flustered.
After the clamor of the banquet subsided, the quiet solitude made her even more nervous. Her heart pounded as if it would leap out of her chest. She dared not look at Lin Xuan, lowering her head and fiddling with her slender, jade-like fingertips, tightly clutching the hem of her clothes.
Lin Xuan looked at her shy and charming appearance, a playful smile curving his lips. He walked towards her slowly, each step as if landing on Guo Fu's heart.
"Senior Sister," he said, his voice exceptionally clear in the silent night, "Did you enjoy tonight's banquet?"
"It... it was alright," Guo Fu replied softly, her voice as faint as a mosquito's hum.
"That's good." Lin Xuan stopped in front of her, looking down at her. In his eyes, as deep as the night sky, flickered a hint of playful amusement.
"Since the banquet is over, shouldn't we settle some of the private matters between us?"
"Private matters?" Guo Fu looked up in confusion, meeting his gaze that seemed to see through everything.
A playful glint flickered in Lin Xuan's eyes as he slowly said, "Senior Sister, have you forgotten that we have a bet between us?"
"A bet!"
These two words struck Guo Fu like lightning. Her mind buzzed, and then, that memory clearly surfaced in her mind.
Instantly, Guo Fu's pretty face turned crimson. The blush spread from her cheeks all the way to her slender neck, appearing especially alluring in the candlelight. She stammered, unable to utter a single word.
"It seems Senior Sister remembers." Lin Xuan admired her adorable appearance, a mixture of embarrassment and shyness, and his desire to conquer her grew stronger. "According to our agreement, I won, and Senior Sister must grant me one condition. Am I right?"
"I..." Guo Fu bit her pink lower lip, feeling both ashamed and anxious. But her inherent pride would not allow her to go back on her word in person.
She took a deep breath, as if making a firm decision, and looked up, meeting Lin Xuan's gaze with her misty, slightly stubborn, beautiful eyes.
"I... I admit defeat!" she said word by word. Though her voice was not loud, it carried a resolute determination. "Tell me! What do you want me to do? As long as I can do it, I'll agree!"
As she said this, she had already prepared herself for the worst. Even if Lin Xuan made an embarrassing request, she would accept it!
"Very good." Lin Xuan smiled with satisfaction. He liked her defiant yet submissive demeanor.
He didn't state his condition immediately. Instead, he reached out and gently, with an irresistible force, lifted her pointed chin, forcing her to meet his eyes.
"Senior Sister really is willing to do anything?" His voice was low, filled with magnetic temptation, like a devil's whisper echoing in Guo Fu's ears.
Guo Fu trembled all over from his intimate yet domineering action, her body instantly going half-limp. She felt her heart beating so fast it was about to stop, and could only manage a faint "Mm" from her throat.
Lin Xuan's smile deepened. He slowly leaned closer, his warm breath caressing Guo Fu's sensitive earlobe, causing goosebumps to rise on her skin.
"My condition is very simple," he said in a voice only they could hear, word by word. "Tonight, Senior Sister, be my personal maid."
"Personal maid?" Guo Fu's heart clenched. The words instantly conjured countless erotic and shameful images in her mind. Her pretty, bright face turned as red as a ripe apple from shame and anger.
As if seeing through her thoughts, Lin Xuan continued in his alluring tone, "From now until sunrise tomorrow, everything about you belongs to me. Whatever I ask you to do, you must do. No resistance, no refusal, and certainly no... asking why."
"You... you scoundrel!" Guo Fu was both ashamed and angry. This condition was more tormenting than a direct demand, filled with the unknown and absolute control.
"What? Is Senior Sister going back on her word?" Lin Xuan straightened up, looking at her with leisure, a hint of faint mockery in his tone. "It seems Miss Guo's integrity is also nothing special."
"Who... who said I'm going back on my word!" Guo Fu couldn't stand being provoked. She stomped her foot, puffing out her full and perky chest. Her beautiful eyes were wide with anger, looking less like anger and more like a playful pout.
She had made up her mind!
"Fine! I agree!" she gritted her teeth, the words almost squeezed out from between them. "From now on, I... I am your personal maid! Do whatever you want with me!"
"Very good." A triumphant glint flashed in Lin Xuan's eyes.
He reached out again, this time directly embracing her slender waist, drawing her soft body into his arms.
Guo Fu let out a soft gasp, her body instantly stiffening, but then it softened, leaning obediently against his firm chest, feeling his strong heartbeat. Her slender yet curvaceous waist looked incredibly alluring in his grasp, making one want to explore further down.
"Then, my good Senior Sister, my... little maid," Lin Xuan whispered in her ear, his voice filled with unquestionable command. "Now, help me upstairs to my room."
This sentence struck Guo Fu's mind like a thunderclap.
Her brain completely shut down, leaving only a blankness and endless shyness. She allowed Lin Xuan to half-embrace her, her body completely losing strength. She could only rely on him, mechanically, yet incredibly obediently, taking a step forward.
Chapter Forty-Five: Maid Guo Fu
Guo Fu stood at the door of the room, her heart about to leap out of her throat.
She tightly clutched the hem of her clothes. The fiery red dress she wore now seemed like a burning flame, exposing her inner shame, anger, and heat.
The door was opened by her own hand. Her footsteps, she had taken herself.
Yet, with every step, it felt as though she were treading on red-hot iron plates, filled with torment. She bit her lower lip, her pretty face flushed crimson with shame and indignation. Her bright, beautiful eyes glared fiercely at the figure seated behind the desk, as if intending to flay him with her gaze.
Lin Xuan, however, seemed completely oblivious to her stare, which was practically spitting fire.
He had changed out of his moon-white brocade robe and was now wearing only a loose silk inner garment, the collar slightly open, revealing his well-defined collarbone and a small patch of his firm chest. His dark, long hair was casually draped over his shoulders, with a few strands falling by his cheeks, adding a touch of laziness and rebelliousness to his peerlessly handsome face.
He was intently examining scrolls of documents spread out on the desk – lists of casualties from the recent battle, assessments of military achievements, and plans for future defenses.
Holding a wolf-hair brush, he occasionally circled or annotated the papers, his expression serious and focused. The relaxed demeanor he displayed at the banquet had now transformed into the solemnity of a strategist planning his moves.
He appeared not like a victor about to take liberties with his "maidservant," but like a general still laboring over matters of state.
This stark contrast left Guo Fu's fiery anger with nowhere to vent. She stood there, unable to advance or retreat, her heart a jumble of emotions.
"What are you still standing there for?"
Lin Xuan, without even looking up, broke the suffocating silence with a calm voice.
"The bet began the moment you stepped into this room. My... little maidservant."
He deliberately spoke the last three words softly and slowly, with a playful drawl that, like a feather, lightly tickled Guo Fu's most sensitive nerves, making her tremble.
"You..." Guo Fu was choked with anger, yet unable to refute him.
"Come here and grind my ink." Lin Xuan still didn't look at her, merely tapping the inkstone on the desk lightly with the shaft of his brush.
His tone carried no emotion whatsoever, as if he were ordering a common servant.
Guo Fu's pride was trampled in a way it had never been before. Who was she? She was the daughter of Guo Jing and Guo Fu, the pearl of Xiangyang City! When had she ever been ordered around like this?
Her chest heaved violently, and she was on the verge of an outburst. But then she remembered the promise she had made with her own lips, and her father's lifelong teaching of "keeping one's word." Her willful nature was forcibly suppressed.
Gritting her teeth, she shuffled to the desk step by step. Her usually lovely and radiant face was now etched with the words "unwilling." She picked up the ink stick and looked at the cold inkstone, her heart filled with humiliation.
