Chapter 13: Guidance
That afternoon, the sun was warm, and a gentle breeze rustled the green bamboo in the courtyard of the Guo residence, making soft rustling sounds.
Guo Fu was sweating profusely on the training grounds, practicing Peach Blossom Island's palm techniques. She wore a form-fitting emerald green training outfit that accentuated her graceful, slender figure. Her full chest trembled slightly with each palm strike, her slender waist could be held in one grasp, and her long, straight legs displayed astonishing explosive power and beautiful curves as she moved. Her oval face was covered in fine beads of sweat, which slid down her skin, as smooth as congealed fat, highlighting her bright, expressive almond-shaped eyes and making her appear even more vibrant and lovely.
However, today, she seemed somewhat distracted. Midway through her palm technique, she suddenly stopped, unable to continue smoothly after several attempts. She irritably ran a hand through her hair, a few strands of black hair sticking to her smooth forehead, making her look a bit disheveled, though it didn't diminish her unique charm.
"Hmph! How am I supposed to achieve 'form disperses, but intent remains' with this move?" she muttered under her breath, dejectedly retracting her hands and angrily kicking a nearby stone stool.
Just then, a clear, gentle voice came from not far away.
"Senior Sister's aura is a bit unstable, and her palm technique falters slightly at this point. I presume you still have doubts about that last move."
Guo Fu's body trembled, and she abruptly turned her head towards the sound.
Lin Xuan was standing in a corner shaded by bamboo, though she didn't know when he had arrived. Today, he wore a simple, plain blue robe, his posture upright. His long, dark hair was tied back with a simple cloth band, with a few playful strands falling onto his forehead, giving him a casual air. He was slowly walking closer now, his demeanor composed, as if enveloped in a faint, yet undeniable magnetism.
This was the masculine charm that naturally radiated after being nourished by the Yin Yang Deficit Supplementation Technique, restrained and steady, yet possessing an invisible allure.
"You... How are you here?!" A blush instantly spread across Guo Fu's delicate face, a mixture of shame and annoyance. She hated being seen in her disheveled state, especially by Lin Xuan, that guy she both hated and was curious about.
Lin Xuan ignored her anger and walked to a spot three feet away from her, stopping there. His gaze was calm, devoid of any mockery or teasing.
"I was just passing by and happened to see Senior Sister practicing here," he said in a calm tone, without any hint of aggression. His gaze towards Guo Fu lacked the disdain she was familiar with, nor the fawning of those pampered young masters; it held only a pure, unadulterated inquiry and... concern.
"Senior Sister's palm technique just now was indeed exquisite in its 'virtual-real transformation'. However... the force is transmitted from the arm, but it disperses somewhat at the wrist, failing to gather the strength of the entire body into the palm tip."
His voice was deep, possessing a unique resonance that seemed to possess the power to penetrate directly into one's heart. Guo Fu subconsciously frowned. Although she was unwilling to admit it, Lin Xuan was indeed describing the very issue that had been troubling her.
"So what?" she retorted stubbornly, but guiltily avoided Lin Xuan's gaze.
Lin Xuan smiled slightly, a gentle and confident smile, as if possessing the composure to see through everything in the world. "To achieve 'form disperses, but intent remains,' you need to condense the force into a line, generating power from the waist and hips, channeling it through the arm, all the way to the fingertips, rather than relying solely on arm strength."
As he spoke, he took a step forward, closing the distance to within one foot. Guo Fu's heart tightened, and she instinctively wanted to retreat, but she was drawn in by his clear eyes, her body seemingly frozen and unable to move.
"Senior Sister, please extend your hand. I will demonstrate for you," Lin Xuan said plainly, his gaze sincere.
Guo Fu hesitated for a moment, her heart struggling. Reason told her she shouldn't have such close contact with him. But the tingling and comfort she had felt when Lin Xuan guided her a few days ago, and the temptation of rapid martial arts progress, made it difficult to refuse. As if compelled by an unseen force, she slowly extended her right hand.
Her hand was slender and soft. Lin Xuan gently, tenderly took her wrist. His fingertips were warm, transmitting through the thin sleeve to her delicate, jade-like skin. In that instant, a strange tingling sensation spread from her wrist throughout her entire body, causing her delicate frame to tremble slightly and her heart to race.
The unique "magnetic charm" brought about by the Yin Yang Deficit Supplementation Technique, though invisible, was intruding upon Guo Fu's sensitive nerves in a more direct manner. She could clearly feel the warmth of Lin Xuan's fingertips and the pure, masculine aura of a young man emanating from his palm.
"Senior Sister, you see, although your wrist strength is strong, at the moment of exertion, the force from your elbow joint doesn't fully reach your fingertips," Lin Xuan's voice was deep and magnetic. He leaned in slightly, his unique fresh scent brushing past Guo Fu's ear.
"It's like this move, 'empty-hand enters white blade.' If you can generate power from your waist and hips when exerting force at the wrist, like this..."
With his left hand, lightly yet with an indescribable skillful touch, he placed it on Guo Fu's waist. The emerald green training outfit was not thick, and the warmth of his palm instantly penetrated the fabric, directly touching her slender, soft willow waist.
Guo Fu's delicate body stiffened abruptly, her breathing almost ceasing. She felt Lin Xuan's hand was broad and strong. The sensation of his skin against hers, and the subtle friction of his fingertips, made her heart pound like a drum, and her face turn crimson. She had never had such intimate contact with any man; even the Wu brothers, her childhood friends, had never been so "presumptuous."
The tingling sensation spread rapidly from her waist, like an electric current, flowing through her limbs, making her legs feel weak. She felt ashamed, resisted, yet a sense of indescribable pleasure began to sprout deep within her heart. Deep within her body, a dormant desire seemed to have been awakened, yearning for the pleasure brought by that touch.
"Senior Sister, generating power from the waist and hips isn't just about brute force. It requires skillful force to drive it, so that the strength of the entire body can be concentrated into a single strike," Lin Xuan's voice sounded in her ear, with a seductive guidance that drew her attention back to martial arts.
He held her wrist, gently guiding her movements. Whenever she struck, the hand resting on her waist would apply just the right amount of force, causing her body to rotate slightly, driving the power from her waist and hips. Guo Fu was surprised to find that her previously stiff movements became incredibly fluid and natural under Lin Xuan's guidance, and her palm strikes seemed even more powerful.
She looked at Lin Xuan with complex emotions. This young man before her showed no flirtatiousness or strangeness, only composure and focus. It was as if everything he was doing was merely for the purpose of martial arts guidance. Yet, her body's reaction couldn't deceive her.
"What... what is happening?" she asked in a low voice, her voice trembling slightly, her eyes filled with confusion and bewilderment.
Lin Xuan smiled slightly, releasing the hand on her waist but not immediately letting go of her wrist.
"This is the 'method of guiding qi into meridians.' The path of martial arts involves both internal and external cultivation. Externally, we train muscles, bones, and skin; internally, we train the breath. Only by perfectly combining breath and technique can one reach higher realms," he explained, his tone calm and filled with unquestionable confidence.
He gently rotated the jade bracelet on her wrist, as if demonstrating a more complex variation. Guo Fu subconsciously followed his movement, her body also leaning forward. Lin Xuan, however, did not release her wrist; instead, he guided her, her body rotating to face him.
"Senior Sister, the essence of this move lies in the explosive power of the legs and the coordination of the waist and hips," Lin Xuan said, his gaze falling on her long, well-proportioned legs beneath her training outfit, then returning to her full chest, which was rising and falling slightly rapidly from the previous movement. A hint of imperceptible scrutiny flashed in his eyes, but he quickly concealed it well.
"When striking, the lower limbs generate force, driving the waist, and the power needs to be transmitted from bottom to top, and then from inside out." He gently placed his left hand on her shoulder, helping her maintain balance.
"Imagine, the power of a strike, concentrated at a single point." He held her wrist and gently lifted her arm, bringing it down in a palm strike.
Bang!
The moment his palm strike descended, Guo Fu felt a strange vibration transmitted from her wrist throughout her entire body. It was as if an invisible wave of energy erupted from deep within her.
Just then! Lin Xuan let out a low cheer. His palm suddenly left Guo Fu's wrist, but with an extremely casual yet indescribably skillful touch, he swept downwards and lightly, yet firmly, slapped Guo Fu's elastic buttocks!
Slap... A soft sound, which seemed exceptionally clear in the quiet training ground.
Guo Fu felt as if she had been struck by lightning, her delicate body stiffening abruptly.
Blood rushed to her face instantly, burning her cheeks until she was scarlet, almost steaming.
She widened her eyes sharply, looking at Lin Xuan in disbelief.
He... he... he he he... How dare he?!
Guo Fu's mind roared. She had never imagined something like this would happen to her. And it was Lin Xuan, her junior brother whom she disliked yet harbored subtle feelings for!
Anger, shame, shock, disbelief... all sorts of emotions churned within her heart, becoming a tangled mess.
But her raised hand, for some reason, froze in mid-air, and finally slowly lowered.
Lin Xuan had already retracted his hand and was standing in front of her, a calm smile on his face. His gaze was clear and sincere, as if that slap just now was merely the most normal martial arts guidance. He even explained with great seriousness:
"Senior sister, do you feel it? That last move was the explosive point where power transferred from the waist and hips to the fingertips. Using your hips as a pivot is how you unleash such powerful force."
His tone was calm and professional, as if he were merely analyzing the purest martial arts principles, with no connection to matters of men and women.
Guo Fu looked at his earnest expression, her heart growing even more indignant. She opened her mouth, wanting to curse him, to scold him, to ask him what his intentions were. But her delicate red lips seemed glued shut with paste, unable to utter a single word.
She could still feel the heat where he had slapped her backside, a tingling sensation that, after the initial shock, quietly spread.
"You... you... you..." Guo Fu felt her whole body weaken, her mind a complete mess. Her bright, star-like almond eyes were now filled with moisture, carrying a hint of humiliation and a complex emotion she herself couldn't quite grasp.

Chapter Fourteen: Elder and Younger Wu Brothers Challenge
Guo Fu's pair of watery almond eyes were brimming with moisture, wide open in a glare, filled with both anger and confusion. She wanted to curse him out, to swing her whip and lash him, but all her strength seemed to have drained away. Her legs felt weak, and even lifting her hands felt incredibly heavy.
Lin Xuan, however, remained composed and at ease, his eyes clear. It was as if, in his eyes, she was merely a specimen to be studied.
"You!" Guo Fu abruptly turned, almost fleeing in disarray. Her movements lacked her usual grace, with stray strands of hair flying around her smooth, full forehead, making her delicate oval face flush as if it could bleed.
She disregarded her appearance, and whether anyone saw her embarrassing state, her sole focus was on running back to her chambers. Her heart pounded like a drum, each beat heavy against her chest, her blood boiling uncontrollably.
On the training ground, Lin Xuan watched Guo Fu's slender, retreating figure and smiled faintly. His smile held an indescribable depth, as if everything were within his grasp.
"This little girl, her backside feels quite nice..." he murmured to himself, his voice extremely soft, audible only to him.
Guo Fu ran all the way back to her chambers. The door slammed shut with a "bang," cutting off all the noise from the outside. She leaned against the door, panting heavily, her snow-white chest heaving. Her already tight-fitting martial arts attire now accentuated her full, shapely figure with astonishing curves.
She felt utterly ashamed and furious. That scoundrel! That lecher! How dare he! How dare he do such a thing to her! This was simply a profound disgrace!
But strangely, after cursing him, she felt no relief. Instead, deep within her heart, that tingling sensation surged like a tide, again and again. The spot he had slapped seemed to still retain his body heat, burning hot, yet with a peculiar itchiness.
The wondrous pleasure that feeling brought her was indescribable.
She tremblingly reached out and gently touched her hip, her fingertips brushing against the astonishing elasticity beneath the fabric. Her mind replayed the clear "slap," as if it were still ringing in her ears. She felt her cheeks burn even hotter, as if they would ignite the next second.
"How could this happen..." Guo Fu sank onto the edge of the bed, her legs feeling weak. She cupped her face, feeling the dampness on her palms—was it sweat or tears, she couldn't tell.
She recalled Lin Xuan's calm, handsome face, his eyes as clear as a spring. His expression at the time was so serious, so "professional," as if he were truly just giving martial arts pointers.
But her body's reaction couldn't deceive her. That palpitations, that tingling, that urge to be touched again...
Guo Fu felt her whole body weaken, her mind a complete mess. Her bright, star-like almond eyes were now filled with moisture, carrying both humiliation and a complex emotion she herself couldn't quite grasp.
She had been doted on since childhood, fawned over by the Wu brothers, and had never experienced such "presumptuous" treatment. Yet, this presumption held a fatal attraction.
He wasn't obsequious like the Elder and Younger Wu brothers, nor was he flattering like others. He always possessed a composure beyond his years, as if everything were under his control. And she, time and again, lost her composure in front of him, losing control.
She casually picked up a bronze mirror from her dressing table. The mirror reflected a charming face flushed to the roots of her neck, her almond eyes hazy, her hair disheveled, her delicate oval face appearing even more tender. She could barely look, and quickly put the mirror down.
She lay on the bed, covering her head with the quilt, yet she could still feel the warm, tingling, wondrous sensation on her buttocks where Lin Xuan had slapped her.
She tossed and turned, her mind replaying the scene over and over. Lin Xuan's palm, carrying a masculine warmth, had gently roamed her spine and waist, making her entire body go soft, yet her internal energy had improved.
She felt as if she had been completely captured by this fellow Lin Xuan. Every time, she thought she could take the initiative, could put him under her heel. But every time, this young man managed to counter her in an unexpected way.
It even deepened her reliance on him. That unique, fresh, masculine scent, as if carrying some kind of magic, always managed to sneak in when her emotions were unsettled, plunging her into a deeper迷途 (mítú - lost path).
On the training ground, two figures strode menacingly towards Lin Xuan.
They were none other than the brothers Wu Dunru and Wu Xiuwen.
They had been hiding under a large tree nearby, intending to approach and offer their services after Guo Fu finished her practice. However, they hadn't expected Guo Fu to run off with a flushed face after Lin Xuan's guidance.
Although they hadn't heard their conversation clearly, nor had they seen Lin Xuan's slap, seeing Guo Fu's near-panicked escape and Lin Xuan's knowing smile, they immediately jumped to the wrong conclusion.
"Lin Xuan! You brat, you... did you bully Sister Fu?" Wu Dunru's eyes widened as he rushed to Lin Xuan, clenching his fists, ready to stand up for Guo Fu.
He was burly and rugged, his face now flushed red, looking quite fierce.
Wu Xiuwen followed closely behind. Although his build was leaner than his elder brother's, his face was also set, his brows furrowed with anger. "Lin Xuan, you've only been in the Guo manor for a few months, and you dare to be so presumptuous! Sister Fu is a precious jewel, how can she be bullied by an outsider like you!"
As he spoke, he eyed Lin Xuan warily, his sword partially unsheathed with a soft "hum."
Lin Xuan raised an eyebrow at their words, a faint smile playing on his lips. These Elder and Younger Wu brothers were indeed Guo Fu's loyal "simps," unable to tolerate even the slightest offense. However, he wasn't annoyed; rather, he found it somewhat amusing.
"You two senior brothers are mistaken," Lin Xuan's tone remained calm, without a trace of anger. "Senior sister was merely frustrated by a bottleneck during her practice, and I offered a little guidance. Where does the accusation of bullying come from?"
He took out a small booklet and held it up. "This is my compilation of martial arts insights, which I was about to present to senior sister for reference. How could there be any ill intentions?"
Wu Dunru snorted, clearly unconvinced. How could he know that Lin Xuan's method of guidance involved repeated, precise "physical contact"? "Hmph! That booklet of yours might be full of unorthodox, evil techniques! Sister Fu is pure and chaste, how can she be approached by a scoundrel with such ulterior motives!"
Wu Xiuwen looked even more indignant. "Lin Xuan, Sister Fu has always been kind to you! Yet you show no gratitude, and instead, you've become even more audacious! Do you know what your fate would be if this matter reached Master's ears?"
They both spoke as if they were Guo Fu's "protectors," their tone full of superiority and self-righteousness. In their eyes, Lin Xuan was still that unknown, low-skilled "country bumpkin."
Lin Xuan sighed lightly, a flicker of mockery in his eyes. He knew further explanation was futile; these two simps were already blinded by jealousy and misunderstanding. It seemed this "sparring match" today was unavoidable. Fine, he'd beat them up. Let them understand who's boss.
"If you two senior brothers are convinced I am in the wrong, then please set the terms. Martial arts sparring involves sharp weapons; let's stop when we've made a point." Lin Xuan put away the booklet and placed it gently on a nearby stone stool, his posture composed.
He wore a blue robe, its hem fluttering in the gentle breeze, exuding a "magnetic charm" that carried an invisible pressure, yet made him seem like a calm lake, unfathomably deep.
Seeing Lin Xuan's "arrogance," Wu Dunru became even more enraged. "Good for you, Lin Xuan! How dare you challenge us brothers! Today, let me teach you what seniority means and what respect for hierarchy is!"
Wu Dunru and Wu Xiuwen were both disciples of Guo Jing. While their martial arts weren't top-tier, they were considered outstanding among the younger generation. They rarely encountered opponents and were rather arrogant. In their opinion, Lin Xuan was just a young novice, how much skill could he possibly have?
"Big Brother! Let him witness the might of us brothers!" Wu Xiuwen said, his long sword fully unsheathed with a "clang," its tip pointing directly at Lin Xuan.
Wu Dunru also drew his sword and strode forward, "Watch your sword!"
The two brothers, one on the left and one on the right, cooperated tacitly and attacked Lin Xuan simultaneously. Wu Dunru's swordsmanship was broad and powerful, fierce as a tiger; Wu Xiuwen's swordplay was light and agile, tricky as a snake. For a moment, sword light flickered, and a chilling aura pressed in. The two figures moved like shadows, sealing off all of Lin Xuan's escape routes.
Lin Xuan, however, simply stood in place, unhurried. He did not draw the long sword on his back. Instead, he clasped his hands behind him, his body sinking slightly, his aura flowing all around him like an ancient pine rooted in the earth.
Facing the heavy sword strike from Wu Dunru, Lin Xuan shifted his body half a foot to the left in a bizarre manner, so fast that Wu Dunru's sword tip almost grazed his clothes.
Next, Wu Xiuwen's thin sword stabbed towards Lin Xuan's waist from a tricky angle. Lin Xuan twisted his body, exerting force in his hips, and dodged with incredible flexibility. His waist and abdomen, seemingly fully developed by the Yin Yang Deficit Supplementation Technique, were incredibly supple, twisting like a nimble snake.
Seeing their attack miss, Wu Dunru and Wu Xiuwen were astonished, but their anger surged even higher. They, brothers who had practiced together for years with their twin swords, had been dodged by Lin Xuan empty-handed. This was an unbearable humiliation!
"Lin Xuan! Do you think you can win just by dodging?!" Wu Dunru roared, his sword spinning, and slashed at Lin Xuan again with the force of wind and thunder. Wu Xiuwen's swordsmanship also became more ferocious, each move aimed at Lin Xuan's vital points.
Lin Xuan's eyes narrowed slightly, his true qi surging, and an invisible aura spread out. He no longer merely dodged but began to counterattack. His movements were elegant and swift, each step landing on the nodes of the earth's ley lines, as if he had merged with the training ground.
He did not use any palm techniques, nor did he employ any sect's cultivation methods. He simply dismantled the brothers' offensive in a most instinctive way, yet one that contained the principles of supreme martial arts.
When Wu Dunru's sword tip aimed straight for his chest, Lin Xuan's left hand formed a loose grip and, without any flourish, precisely clasped Wu Dunru's sword spine. A slight tremor in his fingers sent internal force along the sword spine into Wu Dunru's arm.
Wu Dunru's hand went numb, and the sword almost flew out of his grip. Before he could react, Lin Xuan's right hand shot out like lightning. It seemed slow but was astonishingly fast as he lightly patted Wu Dunru's shoulder.
With a soft "click," Wu Dunru felt his shoulder go numb, his entire arm instantly losing all strength. The sword clattered to the ground. He felt as if his internal energy had been stirred by an invisible force, surging chaotically through his meridians, making him extremely uncomfortable.
Wu Xiuwen's face turned pale with shock. He hadn't expected his elder brother to not even last one move against Lin Xuan! He forgot about attacking and turned to help his brother.
However, Lin Xuan was faster. He didn't take a step, merely rotating half a circle in place, his robes rustling. As Wu Xiuwen turned, Lin Xuan's toes lightly touched the ground, and he had already shifted and appeared beside Wu Xiuwen as if by magic.
"Senior Brother, this move, 'Wind Returns Willow Brushes,' has an unstable center of gravity, making it easy to exploit," Lin Xuan's calm voice sounded in Wu Xiuwen's ear, with an almost instructive tone.
Before Wu Xiuwen could react, he felt a coolness at his wrist, followed by a strange force. The sword in his hand was easily snatched away by Lin Xuan. Lin Xuan casually flicked his wrist, and the sword tip lightly touched the side of Wu Xiuwen's neck. The icy chill made his hair stand on end.
"I concede," Lin Xuan said, calmly returning the sword to Wu Xiuwen's scabbard, as if he had done something trivial.
The entire process took less than the time it takes to brew half a cup of tea!
