After "miserably" making it through the first eighty stages of tribulation, Ling Tian now faced only the final stage.
The final stage would take quite some time to gather its energy. As Ling Tian quickly replenished his spiritual energy, he watched the Tribulation Cloud overhead. The six-colored clouds mingled, and the various Domain Powers began to merge. Bolts of lightning appeared, each containing tremendous Domain Power, though none showed any sign of striking.
Ling Tian smiled faintly. He knew that once the Tribulation Cloud dispersed, the bolts would begin to merge. Then he could start attacking.
Suddenly, Ling Tian furrowed his brows. He felt an unusual pressure spreading through the air. The aura was familiar. He had sensed it when Hua Min'er first awakened her spiritual constitution: the merciless pressure of the Great Dao.
"Why would this kind of pressure appear?" Ling Tian muttered, brows slightly furrowed. "This pressure seemed to have appeared only once before, when Min'er awakened her spiritual constitution. Po Tian, do you know why?"
To his surprise, Po Tian did not answer. Ling Tian was baffled. He looked toward the bow and saw that Po Tian's bow embryo was trembling violently. A feeling of fear radiated from him.
"Po Tian, what's wrong?" Feeling Po Tian's distress, Ling Tian grew frantic. His voice rose several pitches.
Perhaps he had heard Ling Tian, because Po Tian's fear eased a little. But his voice still trembled. "Ling, Ling Tian, it's this aura. It's the aura of being marked by the Great Dao. My old master and I were destroyed by this very aura."
"What? Marked by the Great Dao?!" Ling Tian cried out, brows knitted tight as a terrible premonition rose within him. "You mean the Heaven and Earth Great Dao has singled me out, right?"
