Instead of meeting Hu Yao, she had gone straight to Ling Tian. Clever Hu Yao had naturally guessed what Tian Xin had in mind, and couldn't resist teasing her.
Ling Tian had no mind for any of that. He had noticed Lian Yue's odd expression and hurriedly asked, "Yue'er, what's wrong? Weren't you going to look around and investigate Chaos City? Why are you heading back already?"
Lian Yue and the other girls, including Zi Tianfei, were playful by nature. They had come to bustling Chaos City, yet instead of enjoying themselves, they looked ready to head back. Ling Tian was naturally puzzled, and suspected they had run into some trouble.
Lian Yue hesitated briefly, then seemed to make up her mind. She looked up at Ling Tian. "Brother Tian, we ran into someone we know. We were just about to go back and tell you."
"Someone you know?" Remembering his earlier guess, Ling Tian grew even more confused. "Who? If you ran into someone you know, you could have just told me with a Communication Jade Talisman. Why come all the way back to our temporary residence to tell me in person?"
"This would be hard to explain in a few words. We wanted to find you," Hu Yao said. She stopped teasing Tian Xin and glanced at Huangfu Qiye beside her. "Huangfu caught Little Ze's scent and knew you were nearby, so we decided to come find you ourselves."
"Oh, Brother Huangfu has quite a
