As Seven Killers had said, the Hell Three-Headed Dog had its own pride. It had lost the bet and accepted its defeat, faithfully acknowledging Little Bite as its boss. Little Bite was thrilled and immediately promised to look out for it from then on. Of course, he wasn't just running his mouth: he brought out Chaos Qi as a "welcome gift" for his new underling, which said it all.
Feeling the aura radiating from the Chaos Qi, Dong Ye and the others were all shocked. Their eyes brimmed with hope as they looked at Ling Tian and the others, though there was also a deep undercurrent of envy.
On the battlefield, Wen Jian was still sparring with the others. His two Long Swords danced, Sword Qi crisscrossed, Sword Intent filled the air, and killing intent soared to the heavens.
Unlike Xing Zhan and Mo Lei, Wen Jian showed considerable restraint, stopping as soon as he had made his point. He also never pressed his opponents too hard, which earned him a good deal of goodwill from Dong Ye and the others.
Goodwill aside, though, the fact that they couldn't overcome Wen Jian no matter how many of them took turns fighting him left Dong Ye and the others both humiliated and furious. And judging by how effortlessly Wen Jian moved, he could probably keep fighting like this indefinitely. A battle of attrition wouldn't do them any good.
Dong Ye now realized just how formidable Wen Jian was. He was far more difficult to deal with than Mo Lei and Xing Zhan.
Seeing that their side couldn't win even after fighting for so long, Dong Ye and the others grew anxious. Sima Teng, however, was quite clever. While Wen Jian was busy fighting, he challenged Ming Ye and the others, thus
