Seeing Little God coax and threaten the Thunder Beast, Ling Tian and the others couldn't help laughing. Still, they were a little hopeful, too. To their delight, after Little God left, the Thunder Beast didn't keep running. It looked hesitant, clearly tempted by what Little God had said earlier.
Fairy Meng Shang couldn't resist teasing Little God as she watched him looking pleased with himself. "When people coax and threaten someone, they usually offer a little something sweet first. You, though, made nothing but empty promises. Why would that Thunder Beast believe you?"
"I loosened some of the Soul Locking Divine Silkworm Silk around it. That's already a pretty big sweetener," Little God retorted. He glanced at the Thunder Beast nearby. "It's already tempted by what I said. The fact that it didn't run away is proof enough."
"Dou Dou was the one who loosened the Divine Silkworm Silk. It had nothing to do with you," Fairy Meng Shang said. "As for why it didn't run, it knows it can't escape with experts like us chasing it. You knocking it back earlier was proof enough. It wouldn't keep running just to disgrace itself."
"If I hadn't pleaded for it, Su Ying wouldn't have let it loose," Little God grumbled. Then he stopped paying attention to Fairy Meng Shang and looked at Ling Tian. "Ling Tian, it's your turn now. Heal its injuries and show off your Chaos Qi while you're at it. Then it'll be even more tempted."
"So in the end, I'm the one who has to step in," Ling Tian said with a teasing smile. Still, he didn't refuse. "Come on. Let's put on a show together and shatter that last bit of hesitation."
At that, Little God grew excited and led Ling Tian toward the Thunder Beast.
