After Poxiong's reminder and his own insights, Ling Tian had temporarily blazed a path that did not follow Heaven and Earth's will. He would place his own will above everything else, treating the various powers of law as tools rather than relying on them.
"Ling Tian, infuse this will into your attacks and see how it feels," Poxiong suddenly said. He sounded faintly excited. "I have a feeling that, at first, your cultivation speed won't slow down. It might even increase substantially."
At that, Ling Tian's eyes lit up. He tried to enter a state in which he was the only thing in existence, indestructible and unstoppable, slaying gods when he met them and demons when he encountered them. Slowly, a will that towered above Heaven and Earth arose within him—a will to kill without fail, heedless of everything.
With a thought, Ling Tian summoned Poxiong, drew his bow, and condensed an arrow. He infused that will into his Arrow Intent and his cultivation techniques and laws.
Whoosh!
A sharp, brief, and spirited whistle rang out. The energy arrow transformed into a streak of golden light and shot away. It seemed as though it were the only arrow in existence, its overwhelming aura swirling with the force to destroy everything.
Ling Tian was in a secret chamber. The energy arrow smashed through it like a storm of falling leaves, then continued onward with unstoppable momentum, piercing toward the heavens. The energy arrow vanished, but its aura of destruction lingered for a long time.
The awe-inspiring might of Ling Tian's strike had sent Hua Min'er, Xi Yue, and the others reeling. They were the first to sense it, and astonishment showed on their faces.
"Just as I thought. Brother Tian chose the second path. This is the Brother Tian I know."
