They had a good reason, too: Xi Yue needed to guard against the Divine Artifact's emergence, while the others could use the trip to hone their skills.
"Yue Mei, I still need your help refining the Divine Artifact, so you should stay here," Kong Yuan said, noticing Xi Yue's concern. He reassured her, "Don't worry. Tian'er and the others have all refined Lightning Power, so the thunderclouds won't pose much of a threat to them. As for the other Near-Gods, they're all here. No one can threaten them."
"Hmph, they'd better not try!" Xi Yue snorted, then nodded. "All right. You'll have to be careful. Oh, and take the Thunder Beasts with you. They can draw on Lightning Power within the thunderclouds, which will make them even more formidable. And if there are any savage beasts inside, the Thunder Beasts can intimidate them."
Knowing Xi Yue was right, Ling Tian nodded. "Understood."
