By rights, Chi Xue, with his Bloodthirsty Demonic Body, had no way of knowing Ling Tian and Fairy Meng Shang's names. Yet he had spoken both names aloud. The most reasonable conclusion was that the Lord of the Universe had deliberately mentioned them to him. If Chi Xue knew, then the people from the other realms must know as well.
After deducing this, Ling Tian's expression grew much graver. It would be troublesome if his own information and that of Northern Mystic had been exposed. It would also make it more likely that the other realms would join forces, greatly increasing the difficulty of Northern Mystic claiming first place.
Po Qiong had deduced even more. This only further confirmed his suspicion that the Lord of the Universe had Ling Tian in his sights.
Of course, he couldn't tell Ling Tian any of this outright—and even if he did, it wouldn't help. It would only unsettle Ling Tian.

Once he's in the Lord's sights, he'll face even more tempering. If he can endure it, his strength will advance by leaps and bounds, and he'll have a better chance of taking that final step."
"Of course, this is all just speculation. We still don't know if that's really the case," Xiao Shi said. Then he looked at Chi Xue, his tone turning playful. "Ling Tian, why not ask him why he knows you exist? That should help you verify your earlier guess."
At that, Ling Tian gave an almost imperceptible nod. With a thought, the Nine Heavens Profound Blazing Fire formed several words again: "How do you know my name and Fairy Meng Shang's?"
