The Young Leader and Feng Lingzi suggested that Ling Tian take the Phoenix Soul Fruit back to the Lingxiao Realm. If they placed it there as soon as possible, it could nurture more quasi-Saint-grade Heavenly Treasures. That way, the Lingxiao Pavilion and the other sects would never again lack the Heavenly Treasures needed to refine the quasi-Six-Turn Quenching Liquid.
Ling Tian rejected their suggestion, however. He had decided to take Little Slaughter to the eastern region of the God Realm and have some "fun" with the Outer Realm Cultivators. His decision left some people puzzled. After all, once he and Little Slaughter had left the Beast Soul Realm, there was no longer any need to target the Outer Realm Cultivators.
"Ling Tian's idea is actually quite good," Feng Lingzi said with a chuckle. Clearly, he already understood why Ling Tian had made this choice. "The major powers in the God Realm will assume that if Ling Tian and the others obtained the Phoenix Soul Fruit, they'll first return to the Lingxiao Realm or go to the Fengyun Realm to place it there. But he's doing the opposite, which will naturally throw some people off the scent."
Before anyone else could speak, he continued, "After all, rumors are flying around the God Realm right now. Some people suspect Chi Xue and the others got the Phoenix Soul Fruit, some think people from other powers in the God Realm got it, and some suspect Ling Tian. By doing this, Ling Tian can clear himself of some suspicion, turning the God Realm's suspicions toward Chi Xue and the others instead."
Most of those present were clever, and they quickly understood.
