It was true. Having the Heaven-Devouring Hou challenge Wu Ling was a good choice, but it still couldn't compare to letting Chi Xue's side make the first move. That way, the Po Family Brothers could stand by and watch, then reap the rewards. However, they knew Chi Xue was exceedingly devious and probably wouldn't do as they wished.
That made sense. Chi Xue was an exceptionally clever man. Naturally, he wouldn't send the Jade Devouring Sky Python out first and let the Po Family Brothers take advantage.
"Yeah, that guy Chi Xue is as devious as they come. He probably won't do as we wish." Po Family Seventeenth Brother said gravely. Then he looked at Po Di and Po Family's Youngest Brother. "Second Brother, Youngest, do you have any good way to tempt Chi Xue into making the first move?"
After mulling it over for a moment, Po Family's Youngest Brother shook his head. "There's no way. You and I both know what Chi Xue is like: devious, clever, and very good at manipulating people. We might not persuade him, and instead end up being persuaded by him. That wouldn't be good."
From everything that had happened before, Po Family's Youngest Brother knew Chi Xue was more cunning than he and Po Di. Of course, his remark about being persuaded was obviously a joke. After all, neither he nor Po Di was the sort to be easily manipulated.
"Although we can't convince Chi Xue to have his side make the first move, we can still reach an agreement." Po Di spoke up suddenly. Seeing the other Po Family Brothers look curious, he continued, "We'll send Little Hou out to fight, and Chi Xue will have to send the Jade Devouring Sky Python out too—and before Big Brother takes the field."
