Chi Xue had thought far ahead. He knew that unless they wiped out Feng Lingzi and the others, and even the entire Fengyun Pavilion, they would never be able to threaten Ling Tian. After all, Ling Tian and the others could hide in the Fengyun Realm—and they wouldn't even need to hide for long. Once Fairy Sword Ji and the others had all reversed their golden cores six times, they would be able to face Chi Xue and his group head-on. By then, Ling Tian's side would have dozens, perhaps even a hundred, super experts, including powerful figures like Feng Lingzi and the Young Leader.
In short, unless they dealt with Feng Lingzi and the others, almost everything Chi Xue's group had done before would be meaningless.
But wiping out Feng Lingzi and the others and then destroying the Fengyun Pavilion would be no easy feat. Their group would need at least a few quasi-Saint Rank Eight experts, and to produce experts of that level, they would need to capture the nearly ten quasi-Saint Rank Seven demon dragons. As things stood, however, they had virtually no chance of accomplishing that.
Still, Chi Xue and the others weren't too troubled by it. They believed that once their people had all fused with the demon dragons they'd already captured, their strength would increase dramatically. In particular, their ranks would include quite a few quasi-Saint Rank Seven experts, and perhaps even some at the peak of Rank Seven. With that, dealing with the quasi-Saint Rank Seven demon dragons would be much easier.
That was why Chi Xue and the others stopped pursuing the quasi-Saint Rank Seven demon dragons and instead regrouped with their main force. They then set about establishing a temporary camp and base while waiting for their people to fuse with
