As for the last Ancient Divine Beast, which had appeared in the western region of the God Realm, it had chosen to self-destruct before Ling Tian and the others could arrive, after being surrounded by Outer Realm Demon Race cultivators. This left Ling Tian and the others disappointed, but also somewhat relieved.
They were disappointed, naturally, because they had failed to save the Ancient Divine Beast. After all, if they had rescued it, they would almost certainly have been able to persuade it to join Soul Severing Cliff. That would have meant a tremendous boost to their overall strength. Now, that hope had clearly gone up in smoke.

Indeed, capturing just one Ancient Divine Beast at the Quasi-Saint Ninth Order and cultivating a peerless expert on par with Feng Ying and the others wouldn't be enough to change the balance of power in the God Realm. But if they had two such experts, things would be very different. Working together, the two could accomplish far more than one alone. It wouldn't be as simple as one plus one equaling two; their combined strength would make a qualitative leap.
