As time went on, the Po Family Brothers increasingly felt that they couldn't kill Ling Tian. It left them deeply frustrated. With no other choice, they could only pin their hopes on the other cultivators. Their desire to personally kill Ling Tian and avenge themselves had gradually faded. As he spoke, he looked toward where Chi Xue and the others were. A cold glint flashed in his eyes. "Before we leave, we must kill Chi Xue. We need to avenge our brothers, of course, but more importantly, we need to seize the Ginseng Fruit Tree in his hands."
The Po Family Brothers and Chi Xue's group had a blood feud, but they had formed an alliance because Ling Tian posed a greater threat to them. Once that threat was gone, there would be no need to keep up the pretense of friendship. Killing Chi Xue was inevitable—especially since he had a Ginseng Fruit Tree. Even though Po Tian had obtained a Phoenix Soul Fruit Tree, he still wasn't confident he could break free of the Lord
