Once they devoured seventy or eighty percent of the energy in a space, then even if Ling Tian could use Intent Power to influence and control that space, the energy he could mobilize would be extremely limited. What's more, he could originally influence and control only a tiny portion of the energy. That would greatly weaken his suppression of Chi Xue and the others, as well as the boost he gained himself. Naturally, they would then have a much better chance of defeating or even killing Ling Tian.
