Chi Xue and Po Tian had broken through to the Near-Saint Thirteenth Heaven slightly before Ling Tian. Their cultivation was a whole major realm higher, and the two of them working together could now just barely suppress Ling Tian. At the very least, they no longer faced any danger to their lives when fighting him. Once they had confirmed this, however, they stopped sparring with Ling Tian and simply went around him, heading for the places where cultivators were trying to break free of the Lord of the Universe's restraints. Clearly, they wanted to compete for the Ultimate Lightning Tribulation Power as well. It made sense. Although Chi Xue and Po Tian could gain a slight advantage against Ling Tian, they could do nothing to him. Nor could they improve their strength in battle the way Ling Tian did, refining the Ultimate Lightning Tribulation Power and extraterrestrial power. Continuing to tangle with Ling Tian would only waste their time, so they were better off competing for some of the Ultimate Lightning Tribulation Power.
Seeing Po Tian go around Ling Tian, Poxiong grew anxious. He hurriedly urged Ling Tian to pursue the two and stop them from competing for the Ultimate Lightning Tribulation Power.
Unexpectedly, Ling Tian remained unmoved. As if he knew Poxiong was puzzled, he smiled and said, "You saw it too. Po Tian and Chi Xue are already no weaker than me, and the two of them together can even gain the upper hand. More importantly, they have the God Devouring Body and exceptionally powerful means of staying alive. Even if I catch up and keep ambushing them, it'll be very difficult to kill them. I'd only be wasting my time."
