Though they had broken through the blockade, quite a few Outer Realm Cultivators were still tailing them from afar. Among them were cultivators at the peak of the Twenty-second Heaven of Near-Saint, and they were very fast. Under normal circumstances, their flying speed was definitely greater than Ling Tian and the others'. Escaping them by ordinary means was practically impossible. Chi Xue and the others were far lower in realm than these Outer Realm Cultivators, so there was no way their speed could compare. Even in Arrow Formation, shaking off their pursuers was nearly impossible.
If they couldn't shake off these Outer Realm Cultivators, then many of them would learn their whereabouts, including cultivators at the Twenty-third Heaven of Near-Saint. Once cultivators of that level came after them, Ling Tian and the others would be in danger. Unless something unexpected happened, they would all be captured, if not killed.
Having realized this, Chi Xue and the others naturally wanted to see how Ling Tian would respond. The latter immediately came up with a plan. He took Chi Xue and the others into his Small World, then used Phantom Clone and every other means at his disposal to shake off the cultivators pursuing them.
Though Ling Tian wasn't a God Devouring Body or a Phantom Body, Chi Xue and the others had no doubt that his mastery of the Phantom Secret Technique was no worse than theirs. They had seen it with their own eyes. More importantly, Ling Tian had mastered all sorts of other escape techniques, such as the Time Secret Technique. On top of that, his realm was much higher than theirs. This was undoubtedly their best chance of shaking off the pursuers—at the very least, it would be easier than trying to escape while they were all together.
