Choosing a Base

Ling Tian was quite supportive of Xuan Ling's idea of turning himself into a palace for Lingxiao Pavilion. That way, Ling Tian wouldn't have to worry about building one. Besides, as an Earth Attribute Immortal Artifact, Xuan Ling had astonishing defensive power. Combined with some Defense Formations, his defenses would be even stronger. Even if outsiders attacked, he could likely hold them off for a while, undoubtedly giving the people of Lingxiao Pavilion time to respond.

Xuan Ling transformed into a streak of yellow light and was summoned forth. This time, he held nothing back and directly took on his true form. A sprawling cluster of palaces, extending hundreds of miles in every direction, stood in orderly rows, its roofs rising and falling in a magnificent vista. It included imposing halls, plazas, and rows of rooms, as well as numerous pavilions and towers—even a few rock gardens. It was truly a masterpiece of craftsmanship, exquisitely constructed.

Staring at Xuan Ling, Lu Yuan gaped in astonishment, then broke into a delighted grin. He exclaimed, "Good! What a magnificent palace complex! It has halls, plazas, and places to stay. This will save us a lot of trouble. Hahaha, Brother Ling Tian, you've really outdone yourself. You actually managed to get your hands on an Immortal Artifact like this."

"Big Brother, you mean this Immortal Artifact can serve as our palace?" Ling Tian was overjoyed. Then he asked, "Take a look. Where would be the most suitable place to establish our base for Xuan Ling?"

"Hmm, the palace is magnificent and stretches for hundreds of miles. I'm afraid a mountain range wouldn't be suitable," Lu Yuan mused. "That leaves a broad plain. But this is a primordial planet. Though the plains are lush with trees, there's too much moisture in the air, so
