Background / History

Xiao Peng transmigrated into the world of Battle Through the Heavens and was raised in the Xiao Family under Xiao Zhan’s care. Before his cultivation vanished at age nine, he and Xiao Yan were celebrated as the Xiao Family’s “Twin Stars.” His loss of Dou Qi reduced him to a target of ridicule, but he continued practicing swordsmanship and searching for a way to recover. 1

The disappearance of his cultivation was caused by Sect Leader Tongtian, who had sent a fragment of his soul to test Xiao Peng’s character before accepting him as a disciple. Xiao Peng immediately acknowledged Tongtian as his master and began cultivating an immortal path distinct from ordinary Dou Qi cultivation. 2

Xiao Zhan later disclosed that Xiao Peng was not a blood member of the Xiao Family, but the child of Xiao Zhan’s close friend. His parents were killed by a Tier 4 Magical Beast in the Magical Beast Mountain Range; Xiao Peng vowed to avenge them once he possessed sufficient strength. He inherited their Storage Ring, containing wealth, medicinal materials, a Beast Core, the Autumn Wind cultivation technique, and several Fighting Skills. 7

After restoring his strength, Xiao Peng defeated a Misty Cloud Sect disciple in a single move and began concealing much of his actual ability to avoid becoming a target.
