Walking along the streets of Diagon Alley, Linley took out the list again.

"First, I need to withdraw money from Gringotts, then head to Ollivanders Wand Shop."

Linley pulled a rusty metal key from his pocket and thought to himself.

There were many shops in Diagon Alley, but the one that attracted him most was naturally Ollivanders Wand Shop, which sold Wands that could help him control his magic and cast spells.

Before long, Linley spotted a snow-white building with bronze doors. Three large words were written on them: "Gringotts."

A Goblin wearing a crimson uniform trimmed with gold stood on each side of the bronze doors. When they saw Gael behind Linley, they immediately recognized Linley as a young wizard from a Pureblood Family and welcomed him with great obsequiousness.

To these greedy Goblins, Galleons were everything. Naturally, Pureblood Families that controlled vast wealth were treated as honored guests.

Linley adjusted his collar and stepped through Gringotts' entrance. As he prepared to pass through the second set of silver doors, a passage carved upon them came into view.

"Enter, stranger, but beware

Of what awaits the greedy hand,

For those who take but never earn

Will face the harshest reprimand.

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure never meant for you,

Thief, you have been warned already:

Not treasure, but disaster awaits."

Linley merely smiled when he saw those words.

Greedy was practically the perfect word to describe Goblins. In Linley's view, the warning would have been far more fitting if directed at the Goblins themselves.

Besides, the only thing that could protect wealth was strength. Only by possessing sufficient strength could one protect what one wished to protect. Otherwise, one could only watch helplessly as everything was plundered away.

After entering Gringotts, Linley handed over the metal key. Then, led by a Goblin, he boarded a cart that sped underground along the rails.

The cart roared onward, icy wind lashing against Linley's face. The next moment, another waterfall crashed down on him, drenching him like a drowned rat.

The waterfall that soaked Linley was called the Anti-theft Waterfall. It could wash away all spells and dispel magical disguises.

Of course, disguises such as Human-skin Masks, which had not undergone any magical treatment, would not be detected by the Anti-theft Waterfall.

Before Linley and Gael beside him could lose their tempers, the Goblin driving the cart quickly snapped his fingers and used a spell to dry the water from Linley's body.

Not long afterward, an enormous dragon appeared in their sight.

Sensing their arrival, the dragon tried to breathe fire at them. However, the Goblin controlling the cart swiftly pulled a small metal device from his robes and shook it in the air.

A loud, crisp jingling sound rang out. As though it had sensed something terrifying, the dragon let out a hoarse roar and retreated again and again.

"Honored guest, this beast has developed a conditioned reflex toward this item called a 'Jingle Chip.' The moment it hears this sound, it thinks of pain and retreats, not daring to attack us."

The Goblin explained this to Linley.

Linley nodded slightly in understanding.

Soon, they arrived at the vault controlled by the Roll Family. The Goblin pressed his palm against the vault door, and the door vanished.

At that moment, the glittering golden light nearly blinded Linley.

Though Linley had made some guesses about the Roll Family's wealth, he had to admit that the mountain of Galleons and treasures scattered all over the ground left him stunned.

Linley took out a bag enchanted with the Undetectable Extension Charm and filled it with several thousand Galleons. Even so, the mountain within the vault showed no sign of shrinking.

This showed just how enormous that mountain of Galleons was.

After withdrawing the money, Linley and Gael returned to the surface without incident and left Gringotts.

After buying himself and Gael each a chocolate ice cream with crushed nuts while passing Florin Fosco Ice Cream Shop, Linley arrived outside Ollivanders Wand Shop.

From the outside, it was a tiny, shabby shop. The gold lettering on its sign had peeled away, but it still read: Ollivander—Makers of Fine Wands Since 382 B.C.

In the shop window lay a faded purple cushion, upon which rested a Wand.

Linley entered Ollivanders Wand Shop. The first thing he saw was thousands of narrow boxes stacked nearly to the ceiling.

"Hello, are you the Wandmaker Master, Mr. Ollivander?"

Linley asked the old man with pale eyes who had appeared before them.

Mr. Ollivander replied with a smile, "Oh, yes! Good afternoon, young wizard."

Linley nodded. "Hello, Mr. Ollivander. My name is Linley Roll, and I'm here to buy a Wand."

Mr. Ollivander showed no surprise at Linley's words. He pulled a long measuring tape marked with silver scales from his pocket and began measuring Linley.

"Oh, certainly! Every young wizard who comes here seeks a Wand most suited to them. Now then, Mr. Rowle, let me see! Which arm do you use to wield your Wand?"

Mr. Ollivander spoke as he measured Linley's dimensions.

"Every Ollivander Wand possesses exceptionally powerful magical substances. That is the essence of them," Mr. Ollivander said with a touch of pride. "We use Unicorn Hair, Phoenix Tail Feather, and Dragon Heartstring. Every Ollivander Wand is unique, because no two magical creatures are exactly alike. Of course, if you use a Wand that was meant for another wizard, you will never achieve such good results. Always remember, Mr. Rowle, the Wand chooses the wizard!"

Mr. Ollivander finished measuring quickly, then moved through the shelves, selecting one long Wand box after another.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. There are no useless Wands, only useless wizards, right?"

Linley said it casually, his gaze fixed on an unfinished Wand deep within the shop. To be honest, he was quite curious about the Wand-making process.

Mr. Ollivander's eyes lit up at Linley's words. Holding a stack of newly selected long boxes, he hurried over to Linley and grabbed both of Linley's hands with his other hand.

"You're absolutely right! Mr. Rowle, I never expected someone so young to have such profound insights into Wands!"

Mr. Ollivander said excitedly. Clearly, he was extremely pleased that someone agreed with his views.

Seeing Mr. Ollivander react so strongly, Linley awkwardly rubbed his nose. Heaven knew, he had only been making a joke...

"Try this one. Vine Wood, Phoenix Tail Feather, eleven inches. Fairly flexible. Give it a wave."

Mr. Ollivander handed a Wand to Linley.

Linley gripped the Wand and gave it a forceful swing.

A beam of light shot explosively from the Wand and slammed into a nearby shelf before detonating with a thunderous boom!

A violent Airwave swept through the shop, knocking over several shelves. The shelf that had been struck exploded into splinters that filled the air.

Linley's eyelid twitched at the sight. Good lord, that was comparable to Bombarda cast by an adult wizard, wasn't it?!

"Oh no! Definitely not this one!"

Mr. Ollivander snatched the Wand away. He seemed unconcerned about the shattered shelf, instead frowning deeply as he took a pitch-black Wand from another long box.

"Try this one. Ebony Wood, Unicorn Hair, eight and a quarter inches!" Mr. Ollivander said.

The moment Linley gripped this Wand, a burst of magic suddenly exploded from his palm and flung it several meters away.

Mr. Ollivander hurriedly picked up the Wand with a pained expression and returned it to its box. "Not this one either! Damn it!"

Mr. Ollivander seemed to be losing confidence in his judgment. He returned to the shelves and searched through them again, eventually taking down a long box wrapped in red silk.

"Try this one. Redwood, thirteen and a quarter inches, Dragon Heartstring. The material is somewhat fragile, so be careful."

Mr. Ollivander solemnly placed an elegant-looking Wand in Linley's hand.

The moment Linley grasped it, he felt an inexplicable sense of perfect understanding. He instinctively waved the Wand in his hand.

Whoosh!

In an instant, endless flames surged up from the ground. Crimson flames streaked with gold engulfed the entire Ollivanders Wand Shop in the blink of an eye, reflected in Mr. Ollivander's terrified yet excited eyes.

The blazing flames seemed capable of Burning Heaven and Boiling Sea, enveloping Linley, Gael, and Mr. Ollivander. Yet astonishingly, these seemingly terrifying flames caused them no actual harm. At most, their skin felt slightly scorched.

"It's this one! This is the one!"

Mr. Ollivander shouted excitedly.

At that moment, the flames filling the shop dispersed, while strange crimson patterns quietly emerged across the Wand's body.

Mr. Ollivander, sharp-eyed as ever, noticed this. He seized the hand holding Linley's Wand and stared at it in astonishment. "Wait, perhaps my old eyes are failing me! This isn't an ordinary Redwood Wand. It was made from a branch cut from a magical tree formed by grafting Redwood with Parasol Tree Wood! And the Parasol Tree Wood grafted onto the Redwood isn't the kind found in the Muggle world, but a powerful material from the Eastern magical world!"

"Parasol Tree Wood has an exceptionally high affinity for fire. No wonder this Wand released such powerful flames when it acknowledged you as its master! Redwood grafted with Parasol Tree Wood, combined with Dragon Heartstring... Mr. Rowle, I believe you will achieve great things!"

Mr. Ollivander said happily.

Normally, Dragon Heartstring produced powerful Wands capable of casting the most flamboyant magic, and the owners of Dragon Heartstring Wands often learned faster than those with other types of Wands.

Combined with Redwood's legendary reputation for bringing its owner good fortune and Parasol Tree Wood's affinity for fire, this was enough to show that Linley's talent could not be poor.

Of course, even if one took the most pessimistic view and assumed that Linley's magical talent was nothing extraordinary, then at the very least, he certainly possessed a unique gift for fire magic.

Otherwise, he could not possibly have been accepted by this Parasol Tree Wood from the East!
