It was still that cool sensation that appeared out of nowhere and enveloped his entire body.
The energy transformed from Attribute Points surged from the void and was absorbed throughout his body, tempering his flesh, blood, and bones.
At the same time, Lin Ye suddenly felt a tingling sensation like a wound healing.
It was as though he were bathed in the warm winter sun, leaving his whole body itchy.
Just like before, the enhancement came to an abrupt stop after roughly ten seconds.

Apparently stirred by the scent of blood, this pack of Gray Wolf monsters was unusually ferocious and violent.
Yet when facing Lin Ye, whose strength had increased once more, they were utterly defeated.

In the end, the senior was critically wounded and on the verge of death. Even after seven days and seven nights of rescue efforts, he could not be saved...

Lin Ye stared at the firelight in a daze. Explosions rang out in the distance, pulling his thoughts back to reality.
Although these were ultra-small rockets from the DF series,
their power was still terrifying, and their coverage was extensive, making them ideal for striking small-scale Beast Tides.

Following the first wave of precise strikes from the DF-1,
the Beast Tide's charge was briefly scattered. The remaining monsters soon regrouped, but they still surged forward madly.
"Open fire!"
From high atop the position, the Regiment Commander gave the order to attack.
Thud, thud, thud!!!
Rat-a-tat-tat!!!
In an instant, the entire defensive position was like a colossal war beast awakening.
Heavy Machine Guns, Grenade Launchers, Rapid-fire Cannons... layer upon layer of firepower formed a blazing barrage that harvested the fearless Wolf-like Monsters.
"Roar... howl!!"
"Aw... ooo!!"
The beast horde charged quickly, but its casualties were even greater.
The deadly line of fire woven from missiles and heavy weapons alone inflicted enormous losses on the horde.
Large swathes of low-level monsters were reduced to nothing two or three kilometers from the defensive line.
Smoke billowed, and the flames rising everywhere were especially glaring in the darkness.
Around the position, atop the watchtowers built long ago,
the thick beams of enormous searchlights swept across the wilderness, exposing every movement of the monsters.
Under the bright lights, High-level Beast Soldiers were also quietly concealed among the beast horde.
They advanced with their bodies low to the ground, then suddenly sprang out and accelerated into a mad dash as they neared the defensive position...
Before long, a few fish that slipped through the net broke through the fire blockade and charged toward the nearby defensive line.
The observers and staff officers throughout the position saw every one of these scenes.
Streams of information were quickly gathered in the Regiment Commander's hands, awaiting this commander's orders.
"Notify the snipers. Use armor-piercing rounds to pick off those High-level Beast Soldiers. Even if they can't kill them, cripple part of their combat ability!"
