Chapter 1: Soul Transmigration into Marvel?
"Beep, beep, beep—"
The military pager fell to the ground. Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., stared in shock at his rapidly graying body. With a curse of "Damn it," he turned to ash and dissipated in the New York street wind.
Finally, the pager's screen displayed a mark that appeared to belong to Captain Marvel.
This was the post-credits scene of Avengers 3.
In the movie theater, as the credits began to roll upwards, the names of the crew members appeared, signaling the end of the film.
"That's it? Thanos isn't even defeated yet."
Many audience members grumbled, dissatisfied, and began to gather their belongings, leaving the theater.
High school student Lu Ming sat stunned in the best viewing seat, clutching a large popcorn bucket. He was still immersed in the Marvel storyline.
"It truly lived up to the hype, with over a dozen Marvel solo films building up to this."
"Even Doctor Strange, who saw a million possible futures, was ultimately screwed over by Star-Lord, that pig-headed teammate."
"Captain America and Iron Man were still solid; their performances in battles across the universe were top-tier."
"Thanos is indeed the mastermind BOSS of Marvel's Phase 3, wiping out half of the universe's life with a snap—"
"Spider-Man, who just returned, and the popular Black Panther... over half the superheroes are dead. Will they be resurrected? Unfortunately, Avengers 4 won't be out until next year."
Lu Ming shook his head regretfully. For a hardcore Marvel fan like himself, waiting a year was agonizing torture.
Agonizing!
"I'll just rewatch it then." Lu Ming stood up from his seat. Just as the movie screen finished its display and the production staff names scrolled past, a line of text appeared from the bottom.
[Do you wish to enter the world of Marvel movies?]
[YES/NO]
Seeing the text inexplicably appear on the screen, Lu Ming froze. He wasn't sure if it was a 3D effect, but the text seemed to detach from the screen and hover realistically in front of him.
What the heck, is this a second post-credits scene?
Lu Ming looked around confusedly. The other audience members had already left, and the vast theater was silent, with only him remaining.
He looked back at the screen. The text was still floating in the center, its color fading from black to white, about to disappear completely.
A prank? Trying to scare me, the great truant king?
Lu Ming chuckled and reached out his finger to tap the option. But as soon as his index finger lifted, an electric shock surged from his fingertip throughout his entire body.
Holy crap, is this mandatory?
Before Lu Ming could even complain, his vision went black, and he lost consciousness.
Lu Ming didn't know how long he had been unconscious. He gradually regained consciousness with a dizzy head.
He sat up halfway on the single bed, looking around the room in confusion. He found himself in a slightly cramped wooden room, filled with European-style furniture and decor. Beside his bed, rows of identical single military beds were tightly arranged.
"Where... am I?" Lu Ming asked, bewildered. He rubbed his eyes as if to check if he was seeing correctly, then quickly looked again.
That's right. He was lying on a bed in a military barracks room. More accurately, it was a single bed in an old-fashioned, European-style military barracks room.
"No way, did I really transmigrate? Hmm, into the Marvel movie world?" Lu Ming was confused for a moment. Waking up in a strange foreign military camp, and recalling the bizarre option before he passed out, he urgently needed to confirm his suspicion.
He immediately unzipped his pants, pulled them aside, and checked. He let out a sigh of relief first.
Thank goodness, my bros are still here.
"Looks like I didn't transmigrate, but soul transmigration."
Lu Ming felt like crying but had no tears. Although he couldn't see his current face, he could tell from his pale skin and other physical conditions that he had soul-transmigrated into a foreign youth of a similar age to his previous life.
Lu Ming sat on the single bed for a while before accepting the cruel reality. However, he was an orphan who had been raised by relatives in his previous life. Coupled with the constant bombardment of new information in the 21st century, he surprisingly adapted easily to his sudden soul transmigration.
"Accept what has happened, and make the best of it." Arguing or refusing to accept it would only lead to self-destruction.
More importantly, as a member of the vast transmigration community, and in a world like Marvel where the mortality rate for ordinary people was high, he must have a cheat!
Lu Ming thought of this and was about to search his body for any built-in systems.
Just then, the room door suddenly opened, and a thin, fair-skinned young man with blond hair and blue eyes walked in.
Seeing Lu Ming awake on the bed, the blond youngster was slightly taken aback, then hurried forward excitedly.
Lu Ming reacted quickly, knowing that the person in front of him was likely a friend of the original owner of the body he now inhabited.
If he could fool him, he could get information about the original body's identity, as well as the current environment and the world's current intelligence.
Adapting to the body he now occupied and blending into the environment was the first test for a soul transmigrator!
Lu Ming's lips curved upwards, ensuring he displayed a friendly smile. However, the first sentence the young man spoke made his smile freeze on his face.
"Kyle, Are you all right?" the young man asked.
It was perfectly natural English!
Lu Ming's lips twitched slightly. Looking at the young man's concerned expression, his smile vanished, his lips pressed tightly together, and he couldn't help but want to curse inwardly.
What the heck? Didn't they say the whole universe spoke Chinese? Novels and comics are all lies?!
In his past life, he was just a high school slacker. No matter how good his English was, he couldn't normally communicate orally with foreigners. Not to mention that right now, just uttering a few broken English words could expose him. Currently, he couldn't understand a single word of what the other person was saying.
Seeing Lu Ming's face turn deathly pale, the young man's worried expression intensified. He babbled a string of English greetings.
Lu Ming forced a strained smile, his clenched fists slick with sweat. He had never imagined that a language barrier could create such a predicament.
Just as he was about to risk a desperate, random response, several semi-transparent white cards appeared at the back of the young man's head, floating and spinning around his body.
The young man seemed oblivious to the cards surrounding him, continuing to ask questions with concern.
Four white cards?
Like a ray of hope, Lu Ming's attention immediately shifted to the cards on the other person.
[US Soldier Training Uniform Set]
[Bicycle Riding]
[Street Fighting Skills]
[Basic English Mastery]
Except for the first card, which was annotated as an 'Item Card' and was in an un-draw-able state, the other three 'Ability Cards' were all available for drawing.
Without a second thought, Lu Ming ignored the other cards and focused on the last one, [Basic English Mastery].

Please Note: This is a fanfiction novel based on movies, an entertaining power fantasy, not serious literature QAQ.
This fictional world is not the real world; it is the Marvel movie world where technology and various evolutionary branches have gone awry. Please do not scrutinize it with real-world history and items (for those who focus on military and historical accuracy, please forgive me).
The opening plot is a bit cliché; it gets better after the fourth chapter (if the taste isn't right, just pretend I didn't say anything).
