Chapter 41: Preparing for the Card Draw

Late at night, inside the single officer's room assigned by the base.

After showering, Kyle, wearing only boxer shorts and with his chiseled abs exposed, leaned back on the bed, resting with his eyes closed in a half-reclined position.

He wasn't contemplating life or anything like that, but rather entering his Card Space with his mind.

Within the boundless white space, things were quite different compared to nearly two months ago.

Previously, all cards were mixed together, spinning in a hurricane-like, endless vortex.

After Kyle organized them, the cards were now divided into three categories: Ability, Item, and Creature, each stored in separate card storage areas.

In addition to these three main categories, there were also two other areas: the Emergency Card area and the Material Card area.

The Emergency Card area was for cards needed for immediate use in urgent situations, such as [Vicious Dog], [Energy Laser Gun], [First Aid Kit], and [Blue Eagle].

There wasn't a single Ability Card in the Emergency Card area, because Ability Cards could be used directly as long as they were within the Card Space. Unlike Item and Creature Cards, which needed to be materialized before use.

The Material Card area stored useless Item Cards, which served as 'materials' for Sacrifice Draws.

Kyle's mental entry into the Card Space was specifically for the Material Card area.

After over a month of battles and plundering, most of the material cards collected from several fallen German factory bases were stored in this Material Card area.

Currently, nearly a hundred Blue-rarity Item Cards and over a thousand Green-rarity Item Cards were densely packed in the Material Card area, giving him a great sense of accomplishment.

"I've been saving up Material Cards for so long, it's time to try my luck," Kyle took a deep breath, suppressing his usual nervousness before drawing cards.

Germany's numerous energy factories had completely fallen, and with the decisive battle against Red Skull imminent, there was little point in continuing to save cards at this juncture.

Kyle began to tally the number of Item Cards in the Material Card area, quickly arriving at the exact figures.

Green-rarity Item Cards: 1020.

Blue-rarity Item Cards: 86.

Converted into Sacrifice Draw opportunities, this meant 102 draws for Green-rarity cards and only 8 draws for Blue-rarity cards.

"Then, let's start with the Green-rarity ones," Kyle waved his hand, directly selecting the 1020 Green-rarity Item Cards floating in the Material Card area.

All Green-rarity new cards, their green glow made Kyle sigh.

Damn it, this was 102 consecutive draws! Couldn't you give me a small chance at a Blue-rarity card!

Moreover, most of these hundred new cards were a jumble of useless items. Except for a few peculiar technological Item Cards that could be given to Howard for research, there were very few that could actually be used.

"Giving me 11 Green-rare [Add Life] cards, is this good luck or bad luck?" Kyle twitched the corner of his mouth.

Green-rarity Add Life cards were clearly more effective than White-rarity ones, increasing from three months to three years.

The focus tonight was on the upcoming eight Blue-rarity draws.

"Let's do them one by one. I can't handle consecutive draws," Kyle took a deep breath, suppressing his nervous feelings, and slowly selected ten Blue-rarity Item Cards.

'You sacrificed [Gem Energy] ×10'

'Draw successful, congratulations on obtaining [Add Life]'

What the heck, Add Life cards again?

The moment he heard the draw notification, Kyle almost swore. What was going on with tonight's draws? Was the Card Draw System afraid he would die too quickly?

[Add Life]: Increases the user's natural lifespan by thirty years. Blue-rarity Ability Card.

Current Status: Can be used on others.

Simple and direct, an Ability Card that could directly increase natural lifespan by thirty years with no negative side effects.

"Thirty years?" Kyle was a bit surprised. He had originally thought that a Blue-rare [Add Life] would at most add ten years, but he didn't expect it to add so much.

If this continues, as long as I don't die, I can live until the Earth is destroyed.

Kyle gave a wry smile and continued with the Sacrifice Draw process.

While the lifespan is substantial enough, couldn't I get something more practical!

As Kyle's inner voice cried out, ten blue Item Cards were sacrificed and vanished once more.

'Draw successful. Congratulations on obtaining [Submarine].'

Is this useful, or not at all?

Kyle looked on with a bit of sadness, but selected without stopping, continuing to draw cards.

'Draw successful. Congratulations on obtaining [Camouflage Voice Changer].'

God, what use do I have for this voice changer? Draw again!

'Draw successful. Congratulations on obtaining [Add Life].'

Excellent, tonight I'll boost my lifespan. Continue drawing!

'Draw successful. Congratulations on obtaining [Conan's Glasses].'

Kyle was speechless. What kind of random junk had infiltrated this? Draw one more time!

'Draw successful. Congratulations on obtaining [Senzu Bean].'

A Senzu Bean?

Kyle's spirits immediately lifted, and he quickly took the newly drawn blue card.

[Senzu Bean]: A bean grown by Korin. If consumed, no matter how severe the injury, even if near death, it can restore the body to its peak condition. Blue Item Card.

"This isn't bad; it's something that can save my life." Kyle smiled faintly, moving the [Senzu Bean] to the emergency card area.

Tonight's draws weren't entirely in vain.

Seeing that he had two draws left for blue-quality cards, Kyle waved his hand and decided to select all the remaining twenty blue Item Cards.

'You sacrificed [Gem Energy] ×20.'

At least, let's get another blue skill-type card?

As soon as Kyle had this thought, two newly drawn cards gradually materialized from the Card Space.

One was a deep, translucent blue, while the other card was a never-before-seen purple! The dazzling light emanating from both cards instantly became the focal point within the Card Space.
