New York battlefield.
The sudden alien attack and superpowered battle had sent civilians in the central streets evacuating one after another. Living in disaster-ridden New York had made their escape skills increasingly proficient.
The wall at the base of a skyscraper exploded outward, and a gold-and-red armored figure was thrown from within.
Iron Man crashed into a roadside lamppost, bending and denting the metal pole on impact. He then bounced across the asphalt several times, briefly firing his engines midway to cushion the tremendous force before slamming back-first into the wall of the building opposite him.
"Sir, are you all right?" Friday, the new Artificial Intelligence replacing Jarvis, asked.
"Do I look all right?" Bracing himself against the wall, the battered Iron Man rose again. White light glowed from his metal eye sockets as he stared at the skyscraper from which he had been thrown.
Amid the shadows and clouds of dust on the first floor stood a massive, hulking alien monster. It gripped a giant axe and flashed him a savage, terrifying grin.
Cull Obsidian. His physique was no weaker than Hulk's, while his combat skills surpassed Hulk's by a wide margin. He did not fight on instinct alone, making him extremely troublesome.
"Fortunately, thanks to my godfather's warning, I kept a contingency plan for this." Iron Man exhaled softly, looking utterly unflustered as he calmly ordered, "Friday, drop the Mark-66s."
"How many?" Friday quickly asked.
"All of them. Deploy every last one!" Iron Man said in a low voice, never taking his eyes off Cull Obsidian.
