Throne of Heavenly Principles—Greater Lord Kusanali!
The Archons discovered in shock that the one seated upon the Throne of Heavenly Principles was none other than Greater Lord Kusanali, who had fallen long ago!
What was more...
Greater Lord Kusanali merely sat there without doing anything, yet it seemed as though the entire world of Teyvat revolved around her.
Though they were all Demon Gods, the Greater Lord Kusanali before them felt as if she were an entirely different species.
Even without displaying any divine might or hostility...
Simply sitting there gave them the illusion that the entire world was pressing down upon them, filling them with incomparable pressure!
The Archons vaguely formed a guess.
There was no doubt that the returned Greater Lord Kusanali had reached the pinnacle.
Then...
Had Heavenly Principles Phanes fallen, allowing Greater Lord Kusanali to inherit the position directly, or...
The gods did not dare think any further.
For a time, the entire Divine Palace fell silent.
Seated above them, Buer watched her former colleagues with amusement. They seemed to have thought of some rather interesting things, hadn't they?
"Enough. Stop letting your imaginations run wild."
Buer had no habit of speaking in riddles and stated frankly, "Heavenly Principles Phanes of the past succumbed to his severe injuries and fell several decades ago."
"According to the arrangements of our former superior, once the new Descender, Lumine, traveled through the Seven Nations and merged with and took control of the Light Realm Power, she would inherit Phanes's Human Realm Power and become the new Heavenly Principles."
"Together with the Void Realm Power that Lumine's blood relative will soon master, she will become an unprecedentedly powerful new Heavenly Principles!"
"If all goes smoothly, this most powerful Heavenly Principles may be able to save the Teyvat world, which is on the verge of collapse."
Buer laid out Phanes's plan in detail, withholding nothing.
"Then your return this time is meant to...?"
The six gods exchanged glances. They had not expected that Phanes, once so domineering and dictatorial, had truly fallen!
In the end, Morax, as an old friend, pondered for a moment before asking.
"Outside this world, I encountered the greatest opportunity of my life..."
Buer slowly explained her circumstances. "Lord Hermes has only just begun his plans and wishes to recruit some trustworthy subordinates..."
With a thought from Buer, a piece of Canned Knowledge containing the relevant memories appeared before Morax and the others.
It recorded general information about the Honkai: Star Rail Universe.
The six Archons recognized what it was at once and took turns examining it.
Before long, they had absorbed an enormous amount of information.
The universe, Aeons, Envoys... the concept of the Genius Club, the current transformation of the Blue Star galaxy under Hermes, an Envoy of Erudition...
The current location of Teyvat, and how the Sea of Quantum would eventually bring an end to everything...
"Whew..."
After Morax and the others finished reading the information, even they could not remain calm. Turbulent waves rose within their hearts.
This information had dealt them an immense shock.
"Now, choose."
Buer's expression was serene. "Do you wish to gamble on whether the future Descender, Lumine, can successfully save the world after becoming Heavenly Principles?"
"Or will you choose to join Lord Hermes and ask him to retrieve Teyvat from the Sea of Quantum?"
Of course, what Buer did not say was that even if they chose to gamble on Lumine's future, it would be useless.
After all, Lumine herself was counting on backing a powerful patron to escape this mire. How could she possibly stay behind to struggle alone as some petty ruler?
This choice merely determined their standing in Hermes's eyes.
After all, willingly swearing allegiance and being forced into submission naturally came with two different treatments.
The Archons looked at one another, then could not help but laugh as they spoke in unison, "Naturally, we choose..."
"Buer did well."
After carefully sealing away a sheet-like object with a special method, Hermes sensed something and turned his gaze toward a corner of the Sea of Quantum.
"Putting everything else aside, if these Archons embark upon the path to godhood of my Star System, they should be able to clear it quickly, right?"
Each of these Demon Gods had lived for hundreds or thousands of years. That was a wealth of accumulated foundation!
Where else in the Universal Galaxy could anyone have such conditions?
The Xianzhou Heavenly Beings lived at such a slow pace, yet they generally became Mara-Struck by the age of eight hundred. How could they compare to an old geezer like Morax, who had remained lively and kicking after more than six thousand years?
And those Witches each had their own special talents—they were exceptionally good at causing trouble.
Hermes did not care if you could stir things up.
The more tricks you could pull off, the more it proved you possessed formidable innovative ability.
That was also a great help to the newly established Life Star system.
Hermes welcomed the addition of such exceptionally gifted talents.
After all, no matter how many talents there were, they would all serve as reserve cornerstones for his further advancement!
"The development of the Two-Dimensional Foil cannot be allowed to stop either."
Unlike Herta, Hermes did not jump from one idea to another on a whim.
When Herta researched a subject, she would usually only pursue it to a certain point before being drawn to an entirely new topic.
As a result, although most of her achievements surpassed the mainstream technology of the Universal Galaxy, they had not created a technological generational gap and could not form an overwhelming advantage.
But Hermes was different.
He had come from the Nameless of the Pioneer Faction and had always been a pragmatist.
Since such a powerful dimensional weapon as the Two-Dimensional Foil had already pulled ahead of the Universal Galaxy and created a generational gap, he had to push even harder.
Ideally, it would achieve complete technological domination!
Hermes had never thought much of Emperor Rupert's methods.
Since you had already decided to wage war, you should first use your genius to develop properly, establish an absolute advantage, then seize the right moment and settle the outcome in one stroke!
You rushed into war, yet failed to crush even one of those supergiants that spanned the stars...
Once things reached a stalemate, would that not give those forces the chance to develop and call for reinforcements?
"Once the Two-Dimensional Foil is fully perfected and I establish my Digital Legion, then..."
Hermes looked toward Penacony and pondered for a moment, finding it particularly unpleasant to the eye.
How did that saying go again?
He could replace them!
The title of interstellar peace felt like something they could not bear. The burden of maintaining world peace should be taken up by someone of Nameless origin like him!
He felt that if war ever broke out in the future, he absolutely had to learn from Rupert's lesson and deal with this company bearing the name of "peace" first.
Otherwise, given the sheer scale of that super-colossus spanning who knew how many star regions, if he failed to kill the snake in one blow, it might drag him into a stalemate.
Then he might become the next Rupert!
The world had already become defiled. Not only did Path Madmen run rampant, but the IPC also acted tyrannically, bringing disaster upon the stars...
As a brave and fearless trailblazer, a Nameless whose nature inclined toward good, Hermes felt that things could not continue like this!
It was time to take up the burden of maintaining interstellar peace!
Before you continue
