Hermes frowned as he looked at the tone revealed in Kikyo's words, finding it somewhat strange.

This seemed a little different from the plot of Inuyasha.

In Inuyasha, Kikyo had been the strongest shrine maiden of the Warring States era. The monsters that had fallen beneath her Demon-Slaying Arrow were too numerous to count. If not for plot contrivance, it was hard to say whether Higurashi Kagome would even have appeared.

But now, Kikyo's tone seemed to suggest that the monster forces had already gained an overwhelming advantage?

Warring States Witch: "Is that so? Then that truly is a wonderful world!"

Warring States Witch: "Human lifespans are only a few short decades, perhaps a century at most. Though the village is protected by me now, once my lifespan ends and I am gone, I fear the village's fate will not be much better, will it?"

Kikyo spoke somewhat wistfully.

As Kikyo spoke, many group members furrowed their brows.

They had not expected that a similar world could exist besides the Group Leader's world.

And that it would be even worse.

Though the waters on the Group Leader's side ran deeper, ordinary people could still live happily in ignorance and peacefully finish their lives.

But on Kikyo's side, monsters were already competing with humans for living space!

As for the two transmigrators, Hermes and Luo Qianqiu, after listening to Kikyo describe her world's background, they had roughly understood that this was yet another multi-fandom type of world!

And yet, under such circumstances, Hermes actually found the Index Demon Gods troublesome?
