Sasuke's words echoed through the office, and everyone could feel the resolve behind them. Advisor Tsuchida's face turned ashen, then flushed red. He clearly hadn't expected things to go this far.
"Sasuke, don't go." Naruto stepped up beside him and put a hand on his shoulder. "These guys are really annoying, but we can't just give up."
"Give up what?" Sasuke looked back at Naruto. "The chance to be treated like a tool?"
"That's not what I mean." Naruto shook his head. "Remember what we saw in that space? Those streams of data, those fragments of memories... We worked so hard to repair that world. Are we going to let it become a battlefield all over again?"
Sasuke's gaze wavered slightly. Naruto was right. They had just lived through that catastrophe and seen the devastation caused by division and conflict.
"Naruto has a point," Tsunade said. "Sasuke, I know you're angry. To be honest, I'd love to punch this old geezer's head off myself. But running away won't solve the problem."
"Who said I was running away?" A dangerous curve lifted the corner of Sasuke's mouth. "I just don't want to keep listening to their nonsense."
He turned back to face Advisor Tsuchida, the Rinnegan glinting eerily in the light.
"Advisor Tsuchida, since you're so worried our power might get out of control, why don't I give you a demonstration right now? Then you can see what 'out of control' really means."
As soon as the words left his mouth, the space in the office began to warp. Spiderweb-like cracks appeared in the walls, and the wooden beams overhead creaked under the strain. The samurai tried to draw their swords, only to find their bodies wouldn't obey them.
"Sasuke!" Kakashi shouted. "That's enough!"
