"Use my Mind Perception Technique together with your Rinnegan," Ino said. "I'll scan for fluctuations in mental energy, and you'll use your Rinnegan to identify abnormal Chakra. Working together, we'll be much faster."
"But you just said that scanning such a wide area could make your mind collapse."
"That's why I need your Rinnegan to help," Ino said. "The Rinnegan can stabilize my mental energy and keep me from losing control."
Sasuke thought it over.
"We can try," he said. "But we'll have to wait until I'm back in peak condition. My ocular power is too depleted right now. Forcing it could cause problems."
"Then three days from now," Ino said. "That should be enough time for you to recover."

They discussed a few more details, then decided to meet at Anbu headquarters three days later.
Sasuke left the Interrogation Department and walked through the streets of Leaf.
The sun was setting. People came and went along the streets, and the whole village seemed peaceful.
But he knew that peace was only on the surface.
In the unseen shadows, danger was quietly closing in.

These threats were like time bombs. No one knew when they would go off.

He turned and saw Sakura running toward him.
"Is something wrong?" he asked.
"Do I need a reason to come see you?" Sakura said, puffing out her cheeks.
"I didn't say that."
"Your face said it."
Sasuke sighed helplessly.
"Fine. What do you want?"
"Dinner's on me," Sakura said. "You helped me at the Training Ground today, so I want to thank you."
