When Naruto emerged from deep in the forest, the entire village of Konoha felt the astonishing Chakra Wave radiating from him.
"What is that..." Shikamaru looked up from the tactics he was studying in the command room, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
That Chakra was so vast it made their hearts pound.
"What the hell did Naruto do?" Choji stared wide-eyed.
Ino closed her eyes and sensed it for a moment, her face paling slightly.
"His Chakra... has completely fused with the Nine-Tails' Chakra. I can't even tell which part is his and which part is the Nine-Tails'."
"Perfect Jinchuriki..." Tsunade stood by the window, watching the golden-red figure in the distance, a smile curling her lips. "That boy always manages to surprise us."
Naruto landed on the windowsill of the Hokage's Office.
His appearance had changed noticeably. His blond hair had grown a little longer, with red gradients at the tips. His eyes were golden, with vertical pupils, and nine Chakra tails shimmered faintly behind him.
"Hey." He hopped into the office and grinned. "I'm back."
"You..." Shikamaru stared at him. "Your Chakra reserves have at least tripled."
"More than that." Naruto rolled his neck. "I feel like I'm bursting with strength. Kurama says that in this state, my Chakra is almost infinite."
"Almost infinite?"
"Yeah." Naruto explained, "Kurama and I have completely fused, so its Chakra is my Chakra. As long as I'm alive, Kurama's Chakra will keep replenishing itself."
"That's practically cheating..." Choji muttered.
"Where's Sasuke?" Naruto asked.
"Training beneath Naka Shrine," Shikamaru said. "Go check on him, and test your strength while you're at it."
"Okay."
Naruto vanished from the office.
He was astonishingly fast, reaching the underground chambers of Naka Shrine almost instantly.
In the training ground, Sasuke sat cross-legged in midair.
