Naruto fell silent.
Sasuke was right.
He was the Hokage now. He couldn't go wherever he wanted like he used to.
"All right," he said. "But be careful."
"If you run into danger, notify me immediately."
"Got it." Sasuke turned to leave. "By the way, the Hokage inauguration ceremony is coming up, right?"
"Yeah." Naruto nodded. "In three days."
"Then I'll be back as soon as I can," Sasuke said. "I won't miss your inauguration."
"You guy..." Naruto laughed. "Since when did you get so sentimental?"
"I just don't want to hear you complain."
With that, Sasuke disappeared.
Naruto stood where he was, looking in the direction Sasuke had vanished.
"Be careful, Sasuke," he murmured.
Then he turned and headed for the Hokage's Office.
Inside, Tsunade was going through paperwork.
"Naruto, you're here," she said. "Good. There's something I need to tell you."
"What is it?"
"It's about the Hokage inauguration ceremony," Tsunade said. "According to tradition, when a new Hokage takes office, the other four nations' Kage are invited to attend."
"To show goodwill."
"The other four nations?" Naruto frowned. "Will they come?"
"The invitations have already been sent," Tsunade said. "Kazekage Gaara has confirmed he'll attend."
"Mizukage Mei Terumi will come too."
"The Tsuchikage and Raikage haven't replied yet."
"But according to tradition, they should send representatives."
Naruto nodded.
"What about security?"
"That's been arranged," Tsunade said. "The Anbu will handle security throughout the ceremony."
"The police force will also step up patrols."
"There shouldn't be any problems."
"That's good." Naruto breathed a sigh of relief.
"By the way," Tsunade said, "you'll need to give a speech at the inauguration."
"A speech?" Naruto stared at her. "About what?"
"Whatever you like," Tsunade said. "Talk about what being Hokage means to you."
"Or share your policies for the future."
