Kiyomi heard them, but she couldn't stop.
Her consciousness was swallowed by the red chakra, and her vision blurred.
"We have to stop her." Kawaki struggled to his feet. "If this keeps up, she'll die."
"But we can't stop her," Sarada said.
"Then we have to find a way to knock her out," Kawaki said. "That's the only way to stop the beacon."
"Who's going?"
"I'll go." Boruto stood up. "I'm her teammate. I can't just watch her die."
He charged at Kiyomi, but the red chakra flung him away.
"It's no use," Kabuto said. "Once the beacon goes berserk, anyone who gets close will be repelled."
"Then what do we do?"
"There's nothing we can do," Kabuto said. "We can only wait for her body to collapse."
"You bastard!" Boruto charged at Kabuto. "This is all your fault!"
Kabuto struck Boruto in the chest with his palm, sending him flying.
"Stop wasting your strength," Kabuto said. "You've already lost."
Just then, the sky suddenly lit up.
A bolt of lightning came down from above, striking between Kabuto and Kiyomi.
"What?" Kabuto took several steps back.
As the smoke cleared, a figure appeared before them.
He was a man in a black cloak, with silver-white hair.
"Who are you?" Kabuto asked.
The man removed his hood.
He was a young man with a scar on his face and a sharp gaze.
"My name is Raizo," the man said. "I'm Anbu from the Leaf."
"Anbu?" Boruto was stunned. "Did reinforcements arrive?"
"Yes." Raizo glanced at Kiyomi. "But I'm too late."
He turned to face Kabuto.
"Are you Kabuto Yakushi?"
"I am." Kabuto pushed up his glasses. "What do you want?"
"To take you back to the Leaf," Raizo said. "You betrayed the Leaf. You must stand trial."
"Stand trial?" Kabuto laughed.
