On the way, she ran into Boruto.
"Kiyomi!" Boruto ran over. "You're out of the hospital?"
"Yeah."
"That's great." Boruto smiled. "I was worried you'd stay unconscious forever."
"It wasn't that bad," Kiyomi said. "I just needed to rest."
"Oh, right. Sasuke-sensei is looking for you," Boruto said. "He said he has something important to tell you."
"What is it?"
"I don't know," Boruto said. "He told you to go to his house."
"Okay."
Kiyomi turned and headed for Sasuke's house.
Sasuke's house was on the outskirts of the Leaf, in a quiet area.
Kiyomi knocked on the door.
"Come in," Sasuke called from inside.
Kiyomi opened the door and went in.
Sasuke was sitting in the living room, holding a document.
"Sasuke-sensei," Kiyomi said.
"Kiyomi, sit down." Sasuke pointed to the chair across from him.
Kiyomi sat down.
"What did you want to talk to me about, Sasuke-sensei?"
"I want to talk to you about the beacon," Sasuke said.
"The beacon?"
"That's right." Sasuke put down the document. "I looked into where the beacon came from and found something interesting."
"What is it?"
"The beacon is technology developed by the Kara Organization, but their technology came from the Ōtsutsuki Clan," Sasuke said.
"The Ōtsutsuki Clan?" Kiyomi stared at him. "What's that?"
"An alien clan," Sasuke said. "Their goal is to gather Chakra from different planets and then plant a God Tree."
"A God Tree?"
"That's right," Sasuke said. "A God Tree absorbs all the Chakra on a planet and eventually bears a Chakra Fruit."
Kiyomi was completely lost.
"What does that have to do with the beacon?"
"The beacon is based on the Ōtsutsuki Clan's Kāma," Sasuke said. "Kāma is how the Ōtsutsuki Clan resurrects themselves. They plant Kāma on someone, gradually consume the host, and eventually resurrect."
