"What training?" Kawaki rested his hands on her shoulders. "You need to rest right now."
"But..."
"No buts," Kawaki said. "You've already done more than enough for me."
Kiyomi looked at him.
Kawaki's gaze was serious.
"Fine." Kiyomi relented. "Then I'll rest for two days."
"At least three," Kawaki said.
"Two and a half."
"Three."
"Two and a half."
"...All right." Kawaki sighed. "You're so stubborn."
Kiyomi smiled.
"By the way, what about Gato?" she suddenly remembered. "Did he get away?"
"He did," Kawaki said. "Teacher Sasuke went after him, but couldn't catch him."
"Damn it." Kiyomi clenched her fist. "Next time I see him, I'm going to beat him up."
"You can't even get out of bed right now, and you want to beat someone up?" Kawaki said.
"I..." Kiyomi wanted to argue, but realized she really was completely drained.
"Get some proper rest," Kawaki said. "Once you've recovered, I'll help you beat him up."
Kiyomi froze for a moment, then smiled.
"It's a promise."
"It's a promise."
They smiled at each other.
The door opened.
Boruto and Sarada came in.
"Kiyomi!" Boruto rushed over. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Kiyomi said. "Just a little tired."
"You idiot," Sarada said. "You used Lightning Release to stimulate Kawaki's nerves. Do you have a death wish?"
"But I'm fine, aren't I?" Kiyomi said.
"You're lucky nothing happened," Sarada said. "What if something had gone wrong?"
"Nothing was going to go wrong," Kiyomi said. "I trust Kawaki."
Kawaki lowered his head.
"Kiyomi..."
"What is it?"
"Nothing." Kawaki shook his head. "I just think you're really foolish."
"Then foolish I am," Kiyomi said. "That's just the kind of person I am."
Boruto smiled.
"Kiyomi, you're amazing," he said. "You even managed to bring Kawaki back."
"I'm not that amazing." Kiyomi scratched her head.
