"It's not that his energy felt strange."

Trunks lowered his voice. "It's that he had no energy at all."

Just then, Goku rested a hand on Trunks's shoulder. "You've got it wrong again, Trunks. It's not that he had no energy. We just couldn't sense it."

Vegeta folded his arms across his chest again, his expression grave. "Right. We've actually encountered this before. Think about it, Trunks, Pan."

"We've encountered it before?"

Trunks and Pan exchanged a glance, and something suddenly occurred to them.

Trunks blurted out, "Dad, are you saying he's a deity?"

Aside from androids, they had only ever encountered this with deities.

Pan stared at the entrance to the Chronicle Vault, covering her little mouth. "Vegeta said that Saiyan was from the same era as him. He actually became a deity? How is that possible?"

Silence suddenly fell outside the Chronicle Vault. Shock covered everyone's faces.

"As much as I hate to admit it, he really is a deity."

Vegeta broke the silence and continued, "I don't know if I imagined it, but judging by his movements, his martial arts realm is frightening, too. It's as though he's reached the point where all that mastery has become utterly natural!"

"No, you weren't imagining it!"

Beside him, Goku said with certainty, "Every move that guy made embodied the profound essence of martial arts. That's the realm I've been pursuing all this time. I never thought I'd meet someone so terrifying in the Time Realm!"

Pan had still harbored some doubts about Vegeta's words, but once her grandfather spoke, she was convinced that the Saiyan they had just met was an absolutely terrifying existence.

Her grandfather's martial arts realm was the highest among the four of them. There was no way he could have been mistaken!
