Background

Chen Fan found Na'er in the Star Dou Great Forest while seeking his First Soul Ring. She had lost all memory, including her name, so he named her “Na'er.” They depended on one another for years; she quietly accompanied him and cared for him without making demands. When Chen Fan fell ill during cultivation, she returned with herbs and ingredients, then clumsily prepared medicine and porridge for him through the night. 3 4

After Chen Fan ended his relationship with Ning Rongrong and chose to leave the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Na'er overcame her shyness and confessed. Chen Fan accepted her as his girlfriend despite his System initially rejecting her as an unsuitable bonding target. The System then identified her true nature as Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King, and successfully established their bond. 3 4

Her awakening released monarch-level bloodline pressure across the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, alarming Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong. When the Sect attempted to recruit her, Na'er deferred entirely to Chen Fan; the pair instead chose to leave together and remain unaffiliated. 4 9

During their journey through the Star Dou Great Forest, Na'er repeatedly protected Chen Fan with her dragon bloodline and helped arrange the Heavenly Dream Ice Silkworm's sacrifice to him. When its power threatened to overwhelm Chen Fan, she fed him a drop of her own origin essence blood, stabilizing the fusion at the cost of exhausting herself and damaging her origin. 15 18 20 21

Chen Fan later devoted himself to restoring her condition through medicine, detoxification knowledge, Immortal Herbs, and his evolving life-and-death power. His treatment eventually reactivated Na'er's Silver Dragon King origin and brought back fragments of Gu Yuena's memories. When the remnant souls of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King threatened Chen Fan at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Na'er confronted them alone. Though they recognized her as Gu Yuena, she insisted that she was “only Na'er” and persuaded them to submit and save him. 120 121

Na'er's identity became increasingly difficult to conceal after she forced Da Ming and Er Ming to kneel, subdued Zi Ji, and was recognized by the Soul Beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest.
