Li Dan had already seen through Brian's plan.

He really was a dog from the Born Family. Even as a Labrador, he was still a bastard.

Once Dumpling was done dealing with that rotten dog, Li Dan intended to give him another lesson. If Brian actually brought him a sister from his homeland, or genuinely tried to find one and failed, Li Dan would have nothing to say.

After a little more conversation, Dumpling showed Li Dan a rare bit of goodwill. Looking solemn as a miniature adult, he said, "Don't worry, sir. If Brian fails to complete his task, he'll pay the price."

"Thanks. I'll give you a reward when the time comes."

"No. I only take what I've earned."

Dumpling might still have been drinking milk, but he had principles of his own.

He was a dumpling of principle.

Li Dan was happy to stay on good terms with Dumpling. Of the Griffin Family's six members, Dumpling was the least awful. The only thing that might give someone pause was that he was bisexual and attracted to both men and women.

"Would you be interested in the paranormal?"

Dumpling tilted his head, then suddenly exclaimed in excitement.

"The paranormal? You mean Halloween?! Oh my God, oh my God, I love Halloween!"

Li Dan sighed as he watched Dumpling bounce around. He was still a child, after all, with a child's enthusiasms.

They would have plenty of chances to deal with each other later. There was no rush.

Li Dan politely turned Megan down, then left the Griffin Family.

His vacation had officially begun.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays were for Maria and Jennifer, with Ailan in his dreams. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays were for Angelica.

On Sunday, he went to see Angelique, the princess of hell.
