Twenty-seven years had passed since the last child disappearance case, and few people connected all of it together.

Even if they did, they would only forget.

The seemingly peaceful town had long been shrouded in Pennywise's curse.

Even though there had been repeated child disappearances and bizarre deaths, the adults of the town turned a blind eye or forgot about them because their memories had been altered.

Only seven people in the town retained their memories.

Those seven were the protagonists who had jointly experienced Pennywise's terror as children.

They had formed the Losers' Club and sworn together that when the clown returned, they would seal him away again.

Li Dan was investigating those seven people.

There were five men and two women among them.

Bill, Beverly, Richie, Eddie, Ben, Stanley, and Mike.

Bill, one of the seven, was the one Li Dan had seen at Professor Goodman's lecture.

He was a little boy with a stutter, but he was not timid. On the contrary, he was the bravest of the seven.

Bill's younger brother had been taken by Pennywise because Bill had given him a paper boat. His brother had run to play in the sewers on a rainy day and was taken by the clown.

Unable to recover from the pain of losing his brother, Bill had always investigated the reason behind his disappearance.
