Ripples spread through the vast underground space. The light from the energy lamps embedded in the walls swept across the metal surfaces.
It stretched the shadows of the three giant cages to incredible lengths, like enormous beasts lurking at the edge of an abyss.
Li Dan stood outside the isolation zone, his gaze sweeping over the three cages with utterly different auras.
The cage on the far left drew his attention first.
It was a ten-meter-tall cube forged entirely from dark black metal. Dense silver runes covered its surface, flowing with a faint glow to form an invisible barrier that tightly sealed the aura within.
Holy See craftsmanship?
The figure standing in the cage was taller than any Cenobite Li Dan remembered, standing roughly two and a half meters tall.
Not an inch of skin was exposed. Instead, his body was covered in layer upon layer of sharp blades, interlocking like fish scales.
Those blades were not forged from ordinary iron. They glimmered with a dark purple light, their edges sharp enough to cut the air. With every minute movement he made, the blades scraped together with a piercing hiss, like countless small knives slicing silk at once.
He had something in common with Pinhead.
Blade Head's right hand hung naturally at his side, several black chains coiled around his fingertips. The other ends of the chains connected to a round Magic Box floating before him.
The Magic Box was pitch-black, its surface carved with intricate hell inscriptions. Dark red energy occasionally flowed through the markings, radiating a heart-pounding, summoning presence.
This was Blade Head, the demon lord Rod had called the Bureau's ultimate trump card.
He was even stronger than the Pinhead Li Dan had encountered at the beginning.
The cage in the center presented an entirely different sight.
