"The only pattern was in the surveillance footage." Huang Yaozu pointed at the frozen image on the television. "Before going mad, all six killers had been patted on the shoulder by a stranger."
Uncle Feng's expression changed. "Body snatching? And continuous transfers?"
"It had no physical form. We couldn't catch it, couldn't even see it." Huang Yaozu clawed furiously at his hair. "It spread through physical contact. One pat on the shoulder, and a person became it. One second they were a passerby; the next, a homicidal maniac. There was no guarding against it."
He pointed at Li Guoqiang, who was curled up in a corner.
"My new partner saw someone get possessed with his own eyes. It scared the wits out of him."
